How many probowl players has Heckert drafted here?

Answer: ZERO

Dumbest comment I have heard today... no, make that all year. I guarantee you players Heckert has drafted will eventually be invited to the probowl (if Goodell doesn't can it in the near future). How many rookies and sophomores get elected to the probowl? Not that many.

Joe Haden, Josh Gordon, and Trent Richardson are pro bowl level talent. Phil Taylor, Jabaal Sheard, Brandon Weeden, Mitchell Schwartz, Jordon Cameron are fringe probowlers.

Saying that Heckert hasn't draft probowl players because they haven't made the probowl in the first year of their career is beyond asinine. Shit man... Richardson, Gordon, Weeden, and Schwartz haven't even had the opportunity to be selected to the probowl.

Think about that for a second... a third of the guys Heckert has drafted haven't even had the opportunity to be selected to a probowl yet.

Even if Goodell cans it, they will probably have some sort of award system to honor the best players in both conferences.

Sheard has one sack on the year. He's having a sophomore slump.

What has Cameron done? Talk about overrating someone.

Bring Ozzie back home!!

Pipe dream I know. :chuckles:

What could we offer him that the Ravens aren't already giving him? Plus, I thought I saw a quote saying he would never come to Cleveland.

When I say fringe pro bowler I mean that they have the talent to make the probowl one year in their career. I think Cameron has the talent to make one pro bowl. But yes, on that list Cameron is a big stretch.

I notice you didn't talk about any of the other players. So I am assuming that you conceded that Heckert has drafted guys that will make the pro bowl and your initial argument against Heckert is short sighted and moronic?

Optomist bringing the logic, but what can you expect from a guy who misspelled his handle in the first place.

I do think Haden on that list is the most likely to do so. He also needs to not get suspended.

Richardson has yet to prove anything (although he's hurt), Phil Taylor needs to get on the field, Gordon is too raw to tell, and I don't think Weeden will make it because I don't feel he'll ever be elite.

This coming from the guy who defended Braylon Edwards up and down. Who by the way, is awful.

He also misplays his tag too. I feel like he should add one of those disclaimer tags to his signature. "The opinions of this poster may not reflect the tone and expected attitude of this Moniker." :chuckles:

It's hilarious how all of you slam Holmgren and Shurmur for losing, but refuse to acknowledge Heckert is on the same team.

Because these people have different jobs. Shurmur is doing terribly at his and Heckert is doing well above average at his.

If my car isn't fixed properly... I don't blame the accountant, I blame the mechanic. Just because two people work for the same company doesn't mean they have the same responsibilities.

The talent is evident.

How that talent is being utilized certainly is not.

As far as Holmgren goes, how has the fans status quo changed since he took over. What noticeable improvements to the stadium or surrounding areas have been made in his tenure?

That's what I look for from MH, and I haven't seen much of it.

He picked:
Greg 'dropsies' Little
MoHard
Marecic

Decided to sign: Young and zero WR's

Josh Gordon & Cooper?

Yes, he picked Gordon in the supplemental draft, but all of your negatives can be countered with positives.

Three picks, one of which is a fifth round fullback.

Ask yourself, can you go to any general manager in this league and find the same?

Stop being silly.

Depth is very big in the NFL. Montario Hardesty is a very capable back up running back. Greg Little does drop passes, but has shown improvement recently and can become a very capable number 2 receiver.

So basically thus far only Marecic has shown that he may not pan out... a fifth round pick may not be on our roster in the future. What a travesty.
