Why The Browns Should Trade For Tim Tebow

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Why? Is he bringing the Denver defense with him.

Boobie, by now you should know I don't have the ability to debate about Colt without bias or an agenda. But if we going to tank, I think Tebow would make it a lot more exciting.

His faith is all about praising God above all and tells him to spread his word. So yeah... He kind of has to. Hillis ran over the Ravens and The Broncos beat the Steelers in the playoffs.

Fixed.

You must have forgotten this is a team game.

what do we have to lose by getting tebow for the rumored 5th round pick?

I wouldn't take Tebow at this point if another team paid his Salary for the rest of his career and it literally cost us nothing.

They said yesterday on sportscenter he's been working on his mechanics and throwing and getting better.

I'm for giving McCoy another season as the starter but if we have a shot at Tebow go get him

So you want to replace our QB who throws dink-and-dunk passes with occasionally connection for one who throws dink-and-dunk passes with even less connection. Why? Because he's a name everyone knows?

Didn't he develop a "new throwing motion" before he was drafted? Look what happened to that...

I'm a guy that doesn't put much stock into stats. The only stat that matters to me is winning. I could care less on how a game is won or how a guy looks when doing his job. So I say if it doesn't cost much I'd say go after him.

Fair enough. However; you have to factor in whether or not that style of winning is sustainable. I don't think it is.

I think it's great as a gimmick or a package but to tailor your offense to fit Tebow's style will not win you a super bowl nor will it make you a playoff team consistently IMO.

Only an established team would pick up tebow at this point. And it will be to run the wildcat. Not to start.

Everyone can take a deep breath and relax.

Teams that have discussed a trade for quarterback Tim Tebow, either internally or with the Denver Broncos, include the Jacksonville Jaguars, Green Bay Packers, Miami Dolphins and New York Jets, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

I agree, but at the same time we won't be winning a Super Bowl with Colt either. At this point I would rather roll the dice on Tebow. At least for the excitment alone. Either way we are going to suck ass, but at least Tebow will make it a little more exciting. And its not like its big deal if we trade or cut him if he doesn't workout. At least bring him in to have our annual "QB contoversey" with Colt. But knowing the Browns, Thaddeus Lewis would probably outplay both of them. But I really don't think you are going to have worry about it. You know why? Because this front-office knows they need to find that franchise QB. And there is no point of creating another mess with Tebow-mania. Would just be another distraction. The Broncos are asking for a 4th rounder for Tebow and Heckert offered a shit-load for RG3. They aren'tabout to rock the boat when neither of those guys are the answer. At least with Tebow, the "he's a winner" comments would actually have some merit. Considering he has been apart of two college championships and helped take a team to the playoffs. Colt hasn't won dick.

I agree Colt is not the guy. I also believe Tebow is not the guy either. We wouldn't just bring Tebow in. We'd bring the whole circus in with him. Why put yourself and your locker room through that when you have a strong opinion he's already not the guy. If you want to lose, I'd rather trot Thad Lewis out there for 16 starts and lose them all than go with Tebow.
