Hard to disagree with anything in that article.

And in keeping with the "dumpster" theme, it is definitely time to "take out the trash". Blatt must go. Now.

From the article:

"no team as talented as the Cavs has been this bad for this long in a very long time in this league. As it is, no team with James has been in this position, more losses than wins, at this point in the season since his rookie year in 2003-04."

We all obviously want Blatt to succeed, but at some point the issues with this team come down to coaching.

There are three current all star players, one of them the best in the league, with some pretty decent role players on this team.
Yes they had/have deficiencies and yes they need to gel. But they look horrible, and at some point, unfortunately, that is a result of coaching.

I fell bad for him and he's had some bad breaks with injuries, but maybe Blatt did get in over his head getting this job.

Can anyone honestly say here that if the Cavs had just KI and Love coming into the season that this team shouldn't be at least .500?

I would have expected them to be at or above .500 with Kyrie and Wiggins and someone other than Mike Brown at the helm.

That's an interesting question and I'm not sure. I know after last season I gave up hope on Kyrie being a number 1 guy when they failed to meet even my meager expectations of 37 wins. I do know if they just rolled with what they had + Wiggins there is no way in hell that team gets to .500 nor would I have expected them to.

My best answer is I guess I'd expect them to maybe get to 45 wins by season's end? Again, this is now clouded with my knowledge of what Irving and Love look like playing together, but that's the best I can do.

Another quote from article:

"They see players appearing to run different plays than the bench calls, see assistant coach Tyronn Lue calling timeouts literally behind Blatt's back during games and hear Cavs players openly talking about coaching issues with opposing players and personnel. Not once, not twice, but frequently over the past several months."

Love was ticked off after the game, and talked with Griffin about it

I wasn't exactly sure what that anecdote was about.

To me there were two possible interpretations:

1. Love was pissy after the game and Griffin was running after him to apologize and make things better.

2. Love knew he played a bad game and was trying to avoid everyone while Griffin was hot on his tail to bitch him out.

The reality is probably in the middle of those two interpretations, but that isn't as sexy as dropping it at the top of a column to let the reader draw their own sensational conclusions.

Griffin realizes his reputation as a GM is on the line. He sold the farm and then some for Love.

I still believe, a better coach, would figure out a way to get these two to play better with one another.

3. Plumlee caught Love and Griffin making out.

Sexy and sensational.
