Wine and Gold Scrimmage October 2, 2017

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Ah. So probably Calderon unless we can find a taker for Shump.

Its probably RJ.

Calderon plays a position of need with IT being hurt and costs us very little being on league min. Cutting RJ saves something like 6 mill over cutting Calderon because RJ is a bit over league min so 100% of his money goes into the tax, Plus we 10 wing players.

I could see Tavares getting claimed. He is massive and would be a rotation player if he ever figured it out. Some rebuilding team with an open roster spot would be smart to claim him.

I am hoping we can sneak him into our 2nd two way deal. Really see zero need for Felder at this point, dont think Felder has a future in the NBA>

Actually, cutting RJ doesn't save anything extra. His full salary is still on the books the whole year and counts against the tax.

Same with Jose, except his whole salary doesn't count against the tax.

Trading RJ into a TPE/cap space, however, saves the Cavs over 10-12 million dollars. My guess is we find a way to make that happen. Even if we send cash to cover his salary we are saving 8-10 million.

My guess is the Cavs find a way to make that happen. Maybe by sending a second round pick along with RJ. The 31st pick went for 3.5 million last year. So using a likely pick in the 50s to save 10 million dollars seems likely. They might have to send some cash too, but still will save a boatload.

Better explanation for sure.

At this point i am hoping for shump and RJ for Faried. I dont think Faried gets minutes here, but i think he is more tradable than shump.

I feel bad for RJ! He un-retired just to help us get another shot.

Can't believe Jose Freaking Calderon is going to be what breaks up the second best thing to happen to this team (the podcast) since LeBron came back (the title being first, of course).

Jose is just such a freaking twat.

Dont think you watched the scrimmage. He actually was very good.

Who needs Kyrie when you got Calderon. lol.

But honestly, he did look really good in the scrimmage.

Wait, if RJ retires (and we pay him under the table or bring him in as a coaching assistant or TV personality), will that count against the tax?
