How is no one in this thread talking about the cm punk interview?

Just listened to it, not much is needed to be said. We already knew they're out of touch. We've been saying it since they were trying to have Bryan out of the main event.

Only disappointing peace of it all is he's done and not going to be wrestling ever again. Not in tna or any other spot where he can get a fresh start and dominate. It sucks because he's so talented and in my honest opinion he really was the best in the world.

Because I honestly don't believe half of the things he says.

Wrestled with MRSA with months, rubbing it against people and the mat, and no one else has it?

Is mad Vince let Lesnar use sponsors, ignoring the fact it was part of his contract because they existed prior to him returning.

His wedding was secret. Those were his words. How did they know?

Rushing back from injuries? Welcome to the culture. Punk should get special treatment because he wasn't strong enough to take a beating? Ryback is not on roids, Punk, sorry you're fragile.

It's really easy to throw all of this around knowing that you'll never hear the other side.

Punk's a chump, always has been.

Uh.. what?

Why would CM Punk lie about his MSRA? Is it that hard to believe that WWE has incompetent doctors? Look what happened with guys like Benoit, Eddie, Razor Ramon and wrestlers in the attitude era. Also, a similar situation happened with Hardcore Holly as well several years ago and the WWE still forced him to do the European tour with a staph and he nearly lost his arm so again, not hard to believe that WWE would do this shit again.

And did you not read the full interview? Punk was mad that he wasn't allowed to wear sponsors on his shorts with Vince's reason being that it would upset their sponsors for Raw and yet they give it to Lesnar and in his contract. I'm pretty sure he would be alright with Lesnar using it if he was also allowed or Vince didn't make up a bullshit reason and just straight up tell Punk that he only listens to his favorite people

And how was his wedding a secret? Again, did you not read the interview? Triple H talked with CM Punk few days before his wedding and his firing day and Punk told him that he'd talk to him after his wedding/honeyman. Also, AJ Lee still works for the WWE and she took the time off during that time. I mean someone on reddit who has a minor job with the WWE knew when their wedding was so of course someone like Triple H or Vince would know.

The main point Punk wanted to make is that WWE doesn't take care of its wrestlers and no doubt it's true. What do you expect Punk to do? He was wrestling with a staph infection, broken ribs, broken knees and WWE STILL wants him to keep wrestling and they reward him by booking him to lose against part timers like the Rock and Lesnar. Is Shawn weak then for taking a break for wrestling in 1998? Or Stone Cold ? Or Rob Van Dam? No, WWE has one of the most exhausting and rigorous schedules. You know how many wrestlers took a break or quit on the WWE because they couldn't handle the schedule? A lot. And the ones who stayed ended up doing drugs just to cope with the exhaustion and they end up dying or ruining their lives.

Even Brock lesnar quit on the wwe twice because of the schedule.

Austin didn't quit because of the schedule, he quit because the booking made no sense. He didn't want to lose to lesnar in a qualifying match on raw that was unadvertised. Austin was pure money and anything they put him on earned cash.

RVD takes breaks because he can, he's at the end of his career. He gets his payouts and doesn't mind putting people over. Much like Y2J at this point.

It never bursted open.

It's not about that, it's more about him trying to change the business and let others earn money with him. Notice how he said bryan deserved to be in the main event and that they shouldn't have ever teamed the two together. If anything they should go against each other.

If you noticed he mentioned how the NFL had a union because players actually spoke out to the owner(s). He said it was cena, him and maybe randy that would ever challenge Vince. Nobody else questions anything because where else can they go?

I've been hoping for years tna would eventually get there because when WCW was at its height wrestling was at its peak. Each company would try to outdo the other. I do believe Jeff Jarrett is right when he said that wrestling is about to experience another boom. However, tna has taken steps back and are on a new network. We can only hope that Jarretts global force wrestling will be decent enough to propel someone to compete with wwe.

New Japan just announced they will be on american TV for 8 episodes. If it's a success, it will probably be renewed. As wrestling fans we are going to have more options of that is the case.

His wedding was secret. Those were his words. How did they know?

1. AJ Lee works for the company.
2. He told HHH he would talk to him after his wedding and honeymoon.
3. Other workers are still friends with him and were at the wedding.

Rushing back from injuries? Welcome to the culture. Punk should get special treatment because he wasn't strong enough to take a beating? Ryback is not on roids, Punk, sorry you're fragile.

They let others take months off when they're hurt. Austin got a full year off with a neck injury, HHH got whatever time he wanted off with his injured legs, Cena took time off when his elbow looked like a tennis ball and many other big names.

Is it that hard to believe ryback took roids? Have you seen the guy? It's also well known that he botches moves and HHH has got in his face about it for being careless.

It's really easy to throw all of this around knowing that you'll never hear the other side.

If it's not true then wwe should file a defamation suit.

Punk's a chump, always has been.

He's not the only one to talk bad about the company. Look at Bret Hart, look at Jeff Jarrett and there's many more.

Quit shouldn't be the word used for Austin. He retired. And he retired because of both shoddy bookings and his recurring injuries. Remember that major injury he had from that Owen Hart piledriver? Pretty much forced him to retire from not just the WWE, but wrestling altogether

And I was talking about Rob Van Dam's break from the WWE in 2007

The first time he quit was when he never showed up to raw. That was because of bookings. He eventually came back and quit again because his neck and the pile driver.

And I was talking about Rob Van Dam's break from the WWE in 2007

While that's true he was also working on a documentary called bloodstained memories.

I just listened to the podcast with Punk. I've been disillusioned with the product for awhile now, and insight into how they treated him (and I'm sure they're still treating other wrestlers) just did it for me. Done with the WWE.

This isn't anything new with sports in general. Are you done with the NFL because they used to lie about concussions and put pain killers in a guy just so he could play hurt?

Look how many wrestlers die at a young age. It's not a business that is soft on your body. Eddie, Benoit, Pillman, Owen Hart (see what the hart family has to say about that), Doink, Test, Flairs son (never made it to wwe), bulldog, ect...

I'm done with the WWE for insulting me with this current tag team division. Well just kidding but it's weak as hell, especially when you were accustomed to all the great tag teams of past.

We went from the Road Warriors to a bum and a bunny.

I like the Uso's and miz and mizdow are funny as hell.

Honestly you'll find better tag teams in tna imho, but even they are lacking in that department. I wish one of the two would sign Young Bucks.

Well McMahon confirmed on the Austin podcast punk got his severance papers on his wedding day and apologized for it saying the timing wasn't intentional. So, looks like punk wasn't lying in that aspect. He didn't want to comment much further.

He said he doesn't think JR will ever work for him again which is a tragedy in my honest opinion as well.

This week has been crazy for wrestling lol. Can't believe Stone Cold forced Vince to answer questions that broke kayfabe and then mentioned TNA. Amazing rofl

NXT has some entertaining tag teams. They're fun to watch. Enzo and Big Cass & The Ascension most notably. Really hoping to see them called up in addition to Neville, Balor and Zayne.

Who knows if they keep them together though.

They're no competition right now to wwe and they acknowledged WCW in the wars.
