Fastlane Tonight - in Cleveland!

Re: WWE Road to WrestleMania starts tonight!

Chants of 'CM Punk', 'Daniel Bryan', 'Y2J' among others during pretty much every match... awesome.

Bad News Barrett... awesome.

The Wyatt/Shield match lived up to the billing... awesome.

The crowd booed Batista for his entire match... awesome.

The Elimination Chamber match had some big bumps and all 6 guys recklessly threw their bodies around... awesome.

It was shaping up to be a pretty solid PPV, so why, WHY end it that way? Another ho-hum screwjob? That's the best you can do?

WWE creative is dying before our eyes. No wonder Punk walked away.

Re: WWE Road to WrestleMania starts tonight!

After the reaction Batista got tonight, they absolutely have to find a way to get Bryan into the title match and win it.

Otherwise, their WrestleMania main event is going to get boo'd more than Goldberg/Lesnar was. And I wish I was exaggerating..

Judging by how wwe has yet to learn to give the fans what they really want, I doubt it.

Agree for the most part, but I'm ok with the ending...

As long as they find a way to get Bryan into the title match & have him win it.

If not, it'll be another wasted push.

I understand building the anticipation, but they have to realize that they're waiting too damn long.

Re: WWE Road to WrestleMania starts tonight!

What was the ending?

Wyatt's attacked Cena, who was pinned. Kane came into the Chamber to check on him. Bryan hit the knee on Kane, then eventually on Orton. Kane stopped the ref from making the 3 count.

Orton hit an RKO, Bryan kicked out, but Kane hit him from behind & Orton hit another RKO for the 3.

Re: WWE Road to WrestleMania starts tonight!

The crowd shots at the end and the way Cole was going on and on about Bryan being screwed is a solid sign Bryan will be put in the Main Event, but who knows. It's obvious to everyone Batista/Orton will be booed nonstop by 80k fans at Wrestlemania so they need to salvage it in some way. Maybe have Hogan put Bryan in the match if he beats Kane tomorrow on Raw?

Re: WWE Road to WrestleMania starts tonight!

I loved the main event until the ending. Cesaro is probably the most impressive wrestler they have right now from a move set standpoint, because he can literally do everything. Thirty swings? Holy shit. When it got down to four, it was so ungodly predictable, though. And the ending was laughable. We're not getting DBry in the mainevent. It isn't happening.

Also? Wyatt v Shield was incredible, and might end up being the best match all year, IMO. The point where Dean dropkicked Bray, who got hit by a suicide dive harper who got hit by a front flip senton by Rollins was incredible. Harper is amazing to watch, and Reigns is going to be GOD. Dean, though? Oh my god, please, please, please make Reigns a face. Please separate Rollins and Ambrose. Please let Dean go crazy and cut promos. His ring charisma is by far the best in the WWE. He's crazy fun to watch.

Here's my idea... They continue this Bryan vs. The Authority feud up until Wrestlemania, with the stipulation that if Bryan can beat Triple H he will be included in the main event and make it a triple threat. Kickoff Wrestlemania with HHH/Bryan, and Bryan wins. He is then added to the match with Batista and Orton, and ultimately wins that and the championship. IMO, best way to capitalize on his momentum and make him 1) overcome the odds of beating the Authority, and 2) finally win the WWE Worldheavyweight Title on the biggest stage.

I still wish Lesnar was in the title picture though, as he staked a claim to it and all, and to me that was my biggest disappointment from last night was he wasn't involved (in his hometown of all places).

On a lighter note - The Shield vs. The Wyatt's became match of the year frontrunner for now over Cesaro-Cena from last week's Raw and Bryan/Wyatt from Royal Rumble. Man, was I wrong about the Wyatt's, especially Bray. I thought after that Summerslam match against Kane that he was average at best in the ring. Glad to be proven wrong there.

Anybody get WWE Network? I got it this morning but with the high demand, streaming has been slow. I'd recommend people should wait a couple days

Re: WWE Road to WrestleMania starts tonight!

Of all the mistakes they've been making lately with Bryan's push, they've absolutely hit home runs with The Shield and now the Wyatts. Two phenomenal stables with tons of potential together and individually. That 6 man tag match was as good as it gets. Sign me up for an encore.

Agree. So much potential there.

I can see 1 way of salvaging Bryan's push yet. Having the main event be HHH/Bryan with the added stipulation being that if Bryan can beat HHH at WrestleMania, he gets a guaranteed 1 on 1 championship match on Raw/next PPV.

He gets the win, it's built up as him overcoming the authority, and then the title match gets built up as Bryan's first legit shot at the title.

I think it was you, but whoever said Bryan pretty much HAS to be in the main event was spot on. They cant go through with Orton/Boo'tista. It would be a mid-card match only with 80k people boo'ing their every move.

I have a feeling we could see Bryan/HHH sooner than WM, maybe even with Vince getting involved somehow, and Bryan getting pushed into the Title match late in the game. It's WM 30 and Vince will not settle for less than a banner card. It's time to cash in that golden ticket.

Re: WWE Road to WrestleMania starts tonight!

Unless they want a main event full of CM Punk and Daniel Bryan chants they need to put Bryan in the main event. Its unbelievable how little direction creative has, hell they turned Bryan over to the Wyatts and immediately changed their mistake.

Also, Batista is so unbelievably bad on the mic and his in ring work is so sluggish it cant make up for it.

Agree.

Though, I do almost feel bad for Batista. He's just been in the wrong place at the wrong time. I think he'd be over (or at least more over than he is currently) if the Daniel Bryan movement wasn't going on.

Yeah, I mentioned it.

There's absolutely no way they can main event with Orton vs Batista. It'd be a little better if it wasn't the main event, but I'm sure they don't want their WWE World Heavyweight Title match to get boo'd out of the building, no matter where it is on the card.

The only way they can prevent that match from getting hijacked is by adding Bryan to it.

They had Bryan make it seem like facing HHH at Mania is what he really wanted and, while it may make some of his fans switch gears, it won't keep the fans from hijacking the title match.
