WWE/TNA/Etc Spoiler Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
HHH hitting that critical "We’re DVRing Game of Thrones for this" demographic

That opening segment was awesome. SCSA, Rocky and Hogan putting down a 12 pack.

God bless the WWE Network

Cena
Taker

Punk (when he existed)/Hunter

Orton
Bryan

Heyman/Lesnar

Show doesn't even show up. He's around because of his size.

If you're talking about actual ratings per segment... this is wrong.

Can someone explain to me how the superstars are paid... I assumed they sign a contract like pro athletes. But after watching the network and hearing about buy rates and drawing money etc.. I'm not sure. For example. The talk about the Battle Royal on the Internet is that it's a way to get as many people on the card as possible for the pay day. How does PPV buys affect pay for people?

They're all under contract. They do have guarantees and each star is dealt with at an individual level. Meaning it's possible someone lower on the card is paid better then a top performer. None of the guys contracts are public and they can have different clauses. For example Cena has a "creative clause" which means he has some or maybe even all right of refusal on the way he's booked. A guy like Kofi Kingston would not have this. WWE deals with every superstar individually. Meaning if a guy wants help paying his taxes because he didn't save and he spent it like crazy whenever he got paid. WWE would either give him an advance or tell him good luck. Health insurance isn't included in their pay, but they do get stock options.

Orton gets paid 250k a month aka 3 M a year. At least that's what was in his divorce papers in late 2013. Reports indicated that some people who were higher in the card at the time weren't happy about this because they were being paid less.

Orton doesn't make anywhere near $3 million per year. It's possible he did it one year, but that would be his peak. His actual contract would be $1 million like all of the headliners and then it would go higher depending on how many shows he headlined and how they did. He will probably get close to $2 million this year due to headlining WrestleMania.

Sting is in!!!

Sting has indeed signed a deal with WWE. There’s no word yet on details regarding what role he will play but he is scheduled to be on TV, but not right away.

It’s said that the deal has been close to being done for a while but now it has been signed. Sting’s assumption was that he would work with The Undertaker, which many expected, but that’s up in the air with Taker’s future now in question.

The deal includes Sting being on television, but whether that’s as a regular character or just to build for one match at next year’s WrestleMania, that isn’t clear. He obviously won’t be a full-time wrestler.

Unless he gets in better shape you guys are going to be very disappointed. Sting couldn't even sit on the scorpion death lock in his last big TNA match.

It's not like anybody is expecting him to come in and wrestle full-time. Just give us a little pageantry, and get in good enough shape to have one last match that isn't a trainwreck. Seems plausible.

From dailywrestlingnews.com:

-We noted before that The Rock is expected to work WrestleMania 31 next year and is the leading candidate for the 2015 Hall of Fame class. Word this week is that WWE is considering Brock Lesnar vs. The Rock or Brock Lesnar vs. Cesaro for WrestleMania 31.

Another huge match that WWE has penciled into their plans is for this year’s SummerSlam – Triple H vs. Roman Reigns.

It'll be interesting to see where things go from here. This next year seems a lot less predictable than years past.

Seeing how far they push Cesaro, what the plans are for the Shield, Wyatt, what Brock does when he returns. There is a lot of intrigue that wasn't there this time last year.

Don't forget the influx of NXT talents on their way.

Cesaro vs Lesnar at WrestleMania 31 would be amazing, especially if Heyman plays up both sides til the last minute.. Best talker in the biz.. Cesaro has been crazy lucky to be put with 2 of the best minds of the business.

huge fan of the Uso's and Roman Reigns right now, good to see Reigns is going to get the superstar treatment this summer.

Bray IMO is the most entertaining worker in the ring. I can't help myself but to mark out when he spider bridges, starts a match sitting on the turnbuckle, singing with the crowd. He's on fire right now and is owning that character.
