WWE/TNA/Etc Spoiler Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Orton doesn't make anywhere near $3 million per year. It's possible he did it one year, but that would be his peak. His actual contract would be $1 million like all of the headliners and then it would go higher depending on how many shows he headlined and how they did. He will probably get close to $2 million this year due to headlining WrestleMania.

You're wrong and the divorce papers prove it, this was last year. Also each guy is dealt with case by case. I remember hearing people in the back were pissed because they didn't make the same.

-Word going around is that Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley, who both are now free agents, once again have interest from WWE but there’s no word yet on how serious the interest from WWE is.

It’s also known that Jeff Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestling has interest in the duo.

-WWE officials continue to have discussions about turning Sheamus heel. The plan was for him to turn heel earlier this year, shortly after his return, and face Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania XXX but several plans were changed around when CM Punk walked out.

On a related note, it’s said that Vince McMahon ultimately wants Cody Rhodes as a heel, which is the reason for the dissension with brother Goldust.

-It’s now confirmed that Sting will be involved in the WWE DVD and Blu-ray they are releasing on him later this year.

-Bad News Barrett is expected to defeat Rob Van Dam on Monday’s RAW, likely due to interference from Cesaro, and go on to face Big E for the WWE Intercontinental Title at Extreme Rules. This will lead to Cesaro vs. Van Dam vs. Jack Swagger in a three-way at Extreme Rules.

Another match scheduled for Extreme Rules but not announced yet is Ryback and Curtis Axel vs. The Usos for the WWE Tag Team Titles.

-The original plan for Cesaro to have no theme music was going to last a few weeks longer, as it was a Vince McMahon idea, but Triple H talked Vince into changing his mind. It was said that Triple H hated the idea of Cesaro coming out to no theme song.

On a related note, the idea to align Cesaro with Heyman was something they came up with on their own and pitched to Vince. Vince loved the idea so they went with it.

-WWE isn’t looking at turning Bray Wyatt babyface until The Shield makes their heel turn, that way both groups will continue to remain on opposite sides of the fence, with the exception of Roman Reigns, who will split off into a babyface role.

-When asking around WWE, it’s said that Sting vs. The Undertaker is “still up in the air” for WrestleMania 31 because of so many unknown factors – Sting’s in-ring future, The Undertaker’s health and more. It’s said that Taker isn’t even ready to begin thinking about doing the match as he’s still recovering from this year.

We noted before that The Rock could end up facing Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31. A possible match with Rock vs. Sting has also been brought up at least once. Word is that both Rock and Sting are interested in the match but it’s unknown if WWE officials are interested.

At first glance I was kind of confused why RVD would be tossed in the middle of the month long feud between Cesaro & Swagger, but it makes sense now for two reasons. 1) Cesaro cleanly beat Swagger in a decently long match on Smackdown. To have both go at it again at Extreme Rules, even with a stipulation, would be kind of redudant. We all know Cesaro isnt losing to Swagger. 2) RVD and Cesaro/Heyman did have that backstage run in after their match on Raw last week. A Triple Threat match between those guys would offer some pretty good spots, as well as some great wrestling.

Bad News Barrett should beat Big E at Extreme Rules. Then, the two should have an ACTUAL feud over the title leading up to the next pay per view. Build that belt's prestige back up.

I may be alone on this, but I'm starting to warm up to the team of Ryback & Axel. The issue with them has never really been their talent, but more so bad booking (losing to teams like Los Matadores). I dont mind the Uso's, they do great in the ring, but they dont really seem capable of having a real meaningful feud with anyone due to their lack of mic work. Just seem really one dimensional to me. Ryback on commentary during the Usos-Rhodes match on Raw last week was actually pretty entertaining. It would be nice to see him win his first gold in the WWE and establish a legitimate heel tag team that is sorely needed right now.

Other than the Uso's, RybAxel, 3MB, Los Matadores - the later two being jokes - I cant think of any real tag teams right now. With the PTP and Real Americans recent split, and the inevitable Rhodes and Goldust break up, WWE needs to focus on creating some new teams. Stables like Evolution, Shield, Wyatts are all kind of above competing for the tag team belts at the moment.

If WWE is really interested in Sabin, good luck. The guy has torn both ACL's and isn't the same as he used to be. Alex Shelley is great and my guess is if they're signing them both. Motor City Machine Guns will reunite. Only the problem is Sabin is a liability everytime he goes out there.

This would be possible if Ryback wasn't so terrible. He's a liability in the ring and has almost injured people because of it.

It'll be interesting to see who would get more cheers between Barrett & Big E at Extreme Rules.. the crowds have been very pro Barrett right now.

I don't have a problem with Axel, but Ryback, as Voice mentioned, has been a liability, and more recently was rumored to have sandbagged the Shield on the triple powerbomb..

I think the Uso's would be a terrific duo to get a manager. The team is over despite getting no promo time. A manager would do them wonders, IMO. It's a damn shame the Rhodes Brothers have basically been jobbers recently. I know it's all building to their split, but man, they could've rode them for so much longer.

I actually think giving the straps back to the Shield (now that they're even more over & "bigger" in terms of storyline) or the Wyatts would do wonders for the title. They need something to build them up. Having the Wyatts & Shield battle over them with both teams elevated as much as they are, would be terrific. Mix in the Uso's, Matadores, RybAxel, etc, and you have yourselves a nice little tag division.

Ascension is also supposedly on their way up soon, and could be another team in the mix.

Man, I miss the late 80's, when they used to do 5 teams vs 5 teams in Survivor Series matches.. Some crazy depth back then.

IMHO WWE missed the boat on the Wolves, but that's water under the bridge now. The tag team division hasn't been the same since Hardyz, Dudleys and Edge and Christian left. WWE needs to rebuild the division from the ground up. Outside of Uso's, Rhodes Brothers and Matadors the teams look just thrown together at a whim.

One minute Ryback is in the main event scene then a Paul Heyman guy and thrown into a tag team with Axel who also was once a Heyman guy, but they realized he probably needed more seasoning before the push, so they threw him in a tag team. Now Heyman takes a guy who was in an interesting tag team and they were just starting to get over with Dirty Dutch.

The Rhodes Brothers slipping down the card was my biggest gripe earlier in the year. Going from beating The Shield (cleanly) multiple times, handing the Wyatt's their first loss, beating other teams like Big Show & Mysterio and The Real Americans, retaining the belts in Triple Threat and Fatal Four Way matches... only to drop the belts to the New Age Outlaws which was just so unnecessary considering the quality of their matches, the previous opponents already mentioned that they had beat, and how over they are with the crowd. It would've made sense if Cody & Goldust had their match at Wrestlemania, or at least were part of the Tag Team Title match, but instead they were throw in's for the Battle Royal... soooo, they went from world beaters to jobbers for nothing. Such a waste.

I think you're on to something MoFlo.. give the Usos a manager and talking head (their dad Rikishi maybe?) and they would be complete. Right now though they feel like a tag team version of Kofi Kingston. All in ring skill... no promo/storytelling skill.

I honestly dont expect Big E to get any cheers or heat. I think everyone is indifferent to him at this point due to lack of exposure. The guy hasn't even been on TV the past few weeks to wrestle and/or promote the IC Title match at Extreme Rules. Bad News Barrett character is getting over, and thank god. Although some of these dead crowds lately have made it tough to tell just how much. Either way, Wade Barrett is the man!

Ryback was pushed WAY too fast, WAY too soon. He literally went from squashing local jobbers in 2-on-1 matches and the Jinder Mahal's of the world to fighting CM Punk for the WWE Title overnight. Sure, he may not be the safest superstar on the roster and botches a shit load of moves, but WWE did him no favors by feeding him up to CM Punk during his year plus title reign and then Cena following last year's Wrestlemania. There was also the almost full calender year that he didn't even win a PPV match.

While I agree they probably should have kept them as a tag team. I remember when the tag team division was good and now it's complete crap. A big reason is WWE doesn't like to commit to two guys who are a tag team and pay them both the same money. They feel they can't make them into single competitors. My biggest gripe is the Dudley Boys, Road Warriors, Steiner Brothers, and company pretty much stayed a tag team their whole career. Sure you had guys like APA and New Age Outlaws who were thrown together and a huge success, but even they stayed together for years.

Rikishi was never good on the mic. Dirty Dutch would have been great for them to have, but he's tied up in the real american thing. A female manager wouldn't be a bad idea as long as that said female could talk on the mic.

I agree about Barrett, but Big E reminds me of Ryback. Just a guy that was signed because of his build. Vince loves that for whatever reason.

I agree, but he should have at least honed his craft in the meantime. He looks as bad as he first did when he came in and they should have kept him going with the feed me more thing.

I'd have to say Bray Wyatt is way over on the mic and his gimmick is great, problem is he can't wrestle. That cage match was awful because Cena and Bray both can't wrestle.

Shield vs evolution was great. I was half ass paying attention to the cage match and the WWEWHT match. I'll re watch them today.

He's not an amazing technician by any stretch of the imagination but he's great at story telling and ring psychology

Agreed that Wyatt needs some seasoning with his in-ring work, but you have to admit that this character has an incredible amount of mystique. There's so much they could do with him.

True, but this is meaningless if he can't wrestle in the ring. That cage match couldn't end soon enough.
