WWE/TNA/Etc Spoiler Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Wyatt is capable of putting on a good match. I just don't think him and Cena mesh very well. He would do better with a more fluid wrestler.

True, but this is meaningless if he can't wrestle in the ring. That cage match couldn't end soon enough.

He's no technician, but he moves very well for a man his size, is crazy agile, & tells a great story.

I think the bolded had more to do with how it was booked than Wyatt not being able to wrestle. No reason Rowan & Harper should've been that involved, especially in the cage. Takes away from the gimmick & the match itself.

There was no reason for them to show that Cena should've won about 6 times during this match. He wouldn't have been hurt by a clean loss here, especially with the story they're telling.

Bryan is getting stripped of the title tonight on Raw. I say put it on Cesaro and build toward Cesaro-Lesnar at Summerslam.

I just read that on Twitter as well. They must have a plan in place to have done this. Do they put it on Kane for taking him out? Do an elimination style tournament to determine the new champ? I'm intrigued to see which way they go with this.

Just read the spoilers for tonight, not even worth watching IMO. Nothing groundbreaking besides the title strip, would like a chant of same-ol shit for old times sake.

Main events are now a Wyatt vs Cena.

Did I miss something, because he didn't get stripped...?

In fact, the way I saw it worded (haven't seen, but read that Steph said that Bryan should surrender his title next week), leads me to believe they're not stripping him...

You didn't miss anything, that's exactly what she said. People tend to overreact. He won't be stripped at all, but maybe someone tweeted out what she said when she was talking about stripping him the title and giving it to Orton, Batista or HHH.

Adam Rose is the hottest thing since sliced bread right now out of all the rookies, but will soon be in the same spot as Fandango.

He's hot because they were in London*. Rose bores me he just seems like he's 3 months away from jobbing. I'm looking forward to the Bovelution. Curious how they debut him.

*But he's from South Africa so I'm a dummy. I'll just chalk it up as those Brits who just like to sing entrance music.

Stephanie McMahon announced at today's RAW tapings in London that Daniel Bryan has been stripped of his WWE World Heavyweight Title due to being out of action after having neck surgery last Thursday.
According to our correspondent at the tapings, nothing else was made official regarding the title. We should know more after tonight's RAW.

Update 4:51pm: Stephanie actually said she was thinking about stripping Bryan of the title. She said she wants him to be able to lose the title on his own but since he can't, she wants him at next week's RAW to surrender the title himself.

I was lied to :chuckles:

Re: WrestleMania XXX now!

Next Monday, Raw is in Cleveland. Ric Flair is rumored to be there, and he supposedly will become the Miz's manager. Hopefully, creative does something better than giving Miz a month long feud with Jerry Lawler this time.

Also, gives me an excuse to post this.

Spoilers regarding the Rumble (http://dailywrestlingnews.com/):

1/24:
It’s been reported that a babyface turn by WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar is expected for tomorrow’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view after what happened on RAW last week and based on some backstage talk.

One idea that was pitched within the past two weeks was to have Paul Heyman turn on Lesnar and help Seth Rollins win the title at the pay-per-view.

For what it’s worth, it was said that babyface turn by Lesnar does not mean that WWE officials have given up on trying to re-sign Lesnar but it’s still believed by many that Lesnar will return to MMA once his current deal expires.

-We’ve noted how Randy Orton, Bo Dallas and Diamond Dallas Page are expected to be surprise entrants in the 30-man WWE Royal Rumble main event on Sunday. Team 3D were rumored at one point but we haven’t heard any updates on them appearing.

Another name rumored for the Rumble is NXT Champion Sami Zayn.

In other Royal Rumble rumors, a Sting appearance to further the feud with Triple H is possible and a full babyface turn by WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar is expected but not confirmed after what happened on RAW. Lesnar will be defending his title against John Cena and Seth Rollins in a Triple Threat.

1/25:
-Regarding Sting possibly appearing at the WWE Royal Rumble tonight, as of yesterday there was no talk that he was going to be in Philadelphia.

-Diamond Dallas Page flew into the East Coast from Utah overnight and he’s still expected to be a surprise entrant in tonight’s 30-man main event. Page was in Utah for the new Jake Roberts documentary premiere.

-There’s a rumor going around WWE that The Boogeyman may be a surprise entrant tonight.

-One source says that a babyface turn by WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar at tonight’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view is unlikely and that officials were just testing the waters to see how fans would react on last Monday’s RAW. This was also done to gauge interest. It was noted that WWE adding Seth Rollins to the title match with Lesnar and John Cena has really opened up their options and has made booking Lesnar a lot easier.

In other news for tonight’s Rumble pay-per-view, there was some speculation that Daniel Bryan lost the Bray Wyatt match on RAW because he’s winning the 30-man Rumble main event tonight. While Roman Reigns has been expected to win tonight’s main event and Triple H & Vince McMahon were both in agreement earlier this month on Roman winning, word coming out of this week’s TV tapings is that now nothing is finalized in regards to who will win.

-There’s a lot of online speculation that Sean “X-Pac” Waltman may be appearing in tonight’s 30-man Royal Rumble main event after he made a surprise appearance at Jim Ross’ one-man show in Starland, NJ this weekend. Waltman could at least be backstage visiting at the Rumble since he’s in the area.

-PWInsider reports that there have been no talks between Rob Van Dam and WWE officials about a return for WrestleMania 31. It’s always possible that word hasn’t gotten out about RVD returning but it doesn’t look like he’s returning any time soon.

-There was some speculation about WWE using former ECW guys in tonight’s 30-man Royal Rumble main event but a report came out several weeks ago that the idea had been nixed. The idea was to use former ECW guys to get a big pop from the Philadelphia crowd.

Word now is that we may see an appearance from just one ECW guy instead of several. The feeling is that WWE officials don’t want several ECW guys getting bigger pops than their regular Superstars. There’s also the belief that WWE’s Kevin Dunn doesn’t like ECW and feels it’s not important enough to still be paying tribute to.

-The latest word on Sheamus is that he will not be in Philadelphia for tonight’s WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view. There was some speculation that he may be returning this weekend but anything is still possible.

-As noted, The Rock is in Philadelphia and was spotted at the same hotel that the WWE crew is using while they’re in town for tonight’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
Word is that The Rock will indeed be appearing at the Royal Rumble but there’s no confirmation on what he may be doing.

It was noted that Rock will not be facing Rusev at WrestleMania 31. There was some speculation that Rock could be in town to do another angle with Rusev but apparently that’s not the case. WrestleMania 31 matches with John Cena and Brock Lesnar have also rumored for Rock in the past year so it will be interesting to see how he’s used, if he’s used at all.

-Last night, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson appeared to tease an appearance at the Royal Rumble by posting a photo online of himself in Philadelphia. Of course, the event will be held tonight at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. It was later reported by F4WOnline.com that Johnson is expected to appear at the event in some capacity.

According to MetsFan4Ever of Reddit.com, a former WWE employee who maintains contact with people in the organization, he was told in recent weeks that company officials have had serious discussions of Johnson making a surprise appearance in the Royal Rumble Match and ultimately winning it. This would lead to Johnson facing Brock Lesnar in the main event at WrestleMania 31 in Santa Clara, California.

MetsFan4Ever was also told that if the deal falls through, Johnson was willing to at least make an appearance on the show. This could include putting Roman Reigns over in a backstage segment.

He also says that WWE officials have considered having Bray Wyatt win the Royal Rumble Match. Many people in WWE have high hopes for Wyatt and “feel the sky is the limit for him.”

MetsFan4Ever added there has been talks of Sheamus returning to WWE tonight in the Royal Rumble Match, but as of last night, he was at home in Florida.

Easily the worst rumble I have ever watched. It became laughable when they just gingerly tossed out all of the fan favorites. Last night was essentially Vince McMahon giving WWE fans the middle finger for 45 minutes.

It was such a joke that im so glad this fiasco has been picked up by TIME and USA TODAY.

The only good thing was how steadfast the crowd was in shitting on what was happening.

So, it's looking like WrestleMania is shaping up like this thus far:

WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Brock Lesnar (c) vs Roman Reigns

John Cena vs Rusev

Undertaker vs Bray Wyatt

Sting vs Triple H

Randy Orton vs Seth Rollins

Miz vs Mizdow or StarDust vs Goldust (Don't think they'll do 2 tag splits here, so one or the other)

Divas Match

Match to get about 8 guys on the card

It'll be interesting to see what they do with Ambrose, Ziggler, Bryan, & Sheamus.

They also have Big Show, Kane, and Ryback that they'll find a spot for.

Looks like Ambrose will have the IC title after Fast Lane. Maybe a big feud with Cesaro after hes done with this stupid divas angle he's stuck with?
