Spoilers regarding the Rumble (
http://dailywrestlingnews.com/):
1/24:
It’s been reported that a
babyface turn by WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar is expected for tomorrow’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view after what happened on RAW last week and based on some backstage talk.
One
idea that was pitched within the past two weeks was to have Paul Heyman turn on Lesnar and help Seth Rollins win the title at the pay-per-view.
For what it’s worth, it was said that babyface turn by Lesnar does not mean that WWE officials have given up on trying to re-sign Lesnar but it’s still believed by many that Lesnar will return to MMA once his current deal expires.
-We’ve noted how
Randy Orton, Bo Dallas and Diamond Dallas Page are expected to be surprise entrants in the 30-man WWE
Royal Rumble main event on Sunday.
Team 3D were rumored at one point but we haven’t heard any updates on them appearing.
Another
name rumored for the Rumble is NXT Champion Sami Zayn.
In other
Royal Rumble rumors, a
Sting appearance to further the feud with Triple H is possible and a full babyface turn by WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar is expected but not confirmed after what happened on RAW. Lesnar will be defending his title against
John Cena and
Seth Rollins in a Triple Threat.

1/25:
-Regarding
Sting possibly appearing at the WWE
Royal Rumble tonight, as of yesterday there was
no talk that he was going to be in Philadelphia.
-
Diamond Dallas Page flew into the East Coast from Utah overnight and he’s
still expected to be a surprise entrant in tonight’s 30-man main event. Page was in Utah for the new Jake Roberts documentary premiere.
-There’s a rumor going around WWE that
The Boogeyman may be a surprise entrant tonight.

-One source says that a
babyface turn by WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar at tonight’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view is unlikely and that officials were just testing the waters to see how fans would react on last Monday’s RAW. This was also done to gauge interest. It was noted that WWE adding
Seth Rollins to the title match with Lesnar and
John Cena has really opened up their options and has made booking Lesnar a lot easier.
In other news for tonight’s Rumble pay-per-view, there was some
speculation that Daniel Bryan lost the Bray Wyatt match on RAW because he’s winning the 30-man Rumble main event tonight. While
Roman Reigns has been expected to win tonight’s main event and Triple H & Vince McMahon were both in agreement earlier this month on Roman winning, word coming out of this week’s TV tapings is that now nothing is finalized in regards to who will win.
-There’s a lot of online speculation that
Sean “X-Pac” Waltman may be appearing in tonight’s 30-man Royal Rumble main event after he made a surprise appearance at Jim Ross’ one-man show in Starland, NJ this weekend. Waltman could at least be backstage visiting at the Rumble since he’s in the area.
-PWInsider reports that there have been
no talks between Rob Van Dam and WWE officials about a return for WrestleMania 31. It’s always possible that word hasn’t gotten out about RVD returning but it doesn’t look like he’s returning any time soon.
-There was some speculation about WWE using former ECW guys in tonight’s 30-man
Royal Rumble main event but a report came out several weeks ago that the idea had been nixed. The idea was to use former ECW guys to get a big pop from the Philadelphia crowd.
Word now is that we may see an appearance from just one ECW guy instead of several. The feeling is that WWE officials don’t want several ECW guys getting bigger pops than their regular Superstars. There’s also the belief that WWE’s Kevin Dunn doesn’t like ECW and feels it’s not important enough to still be paying tribute to.

-The latest word on
Sheamus is that he will not be in Philadelphia for tonight’s WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view. There was some speculation that he may be returning this weekend but anything is still possible.
-As noted,
The Rock is in Philadelphia and was spotted at the same hotel that the WWE crew is using while they’re in town for tonight’s
Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
Word is that
The Rock will indeed be appearing at the Royal Rumble but there’s no confirmation on what he may be doing.
It was noted that
Rock will not be facing Rusev at WrestleMania 31. There was some speculation that Rock could be in town to do another angle with Rusev but apparently that’s not the case.
WrestleMania 31 matches with John Cena and Brock Lesnar have also rumored for Rock in the past year so it will be interesting to see how he’s used, if he’s used at all.
