Re: Lebron James Tweet- re "HomeSweetHome"

LeBron to less than fortunate kids after the bike ride:

"Good bike ride guys, just always remember one thing in life............. tomorrow you are going to wake up with the same problems."

As an "Akronite" myself, it makes me sick to see the Mayor and other city leaders continue to kiss his ass.

You know what they say in Politics and business.....money talks and bullshit walks.

Re: The guy who wears #6 in Miami

I liked the video of LeBron on SportsCenter by DJ Travis Porter (the guy that remixes all the sports sound bites). The end showed a LeBron press conference where he says "nobody said it was going to be easy." Then it follows that up with LeBron at the Big 3 preseason intro ceremony thing where he says "It's going to be easy." Then the video ends. :chuckles:

Find me a youtube video of this, an animated gif, something. This must become my avatar or signature.

Re: The guy who wears #6 in Miami

I think some of the media are looking at it wrong. Chicago, Philly, Indiana, knicks are all younger than Miami. Miami's talent took them to the finals. for upcoming years to get back its gonna take more than that. people saw first hand how to beat the heat. Its going to be harder for them in years to come. They also dismiss or fail to recognize the value of fundamentals and teamwork displayed by Dallas and the impact it will have on alot of younger players in the league. It will be a different league

This year was probably the best chance for Miami to win a title. Just ask Boston they will tell you the same. Now in the West ith the rise of Memphis, the continued improved by OKC any team that makes it through the west is going to be a deep talented team potentially going against an exhausted miami team that plays all their cards too soon.

However i do think a strike shortened season might favor a team like Miami as much as I hate to say it but then you got to bring the lakers, spurs and boston back into the mix.

It was such a grandiose, over the top montage that accurately personified my disdain for ESPN.

Re: The guy who wears #6 in Miami

What did their big 3 miss, like 15 games total last year? Everything played out perfectly for them and they still fell short. Like stated above, its not going to be as easy next season.

Honestly, I will be very interested to see how much #6 campaigns for Obama in 2012. In 08 he was extremely popular in Ohio, so he could've potentially been a great asset for Obama had it been close. Now, he's such a social pariah in Ohio, I wonder if the Obama camp stays away from him.

EDIT: No clue why some of my posts aren't "showing up"

Re: The guy who wears #6 in Miami

I like Bosh's reaction after LeBron says "It's gonna be easy".

Re: The guy who wears #6 in Miami

If you're tired of hearing about LBJ and his decision, don't turn on 1st and 10. Bayless is tweeting that "1 yr after The Decision" that's what they'll be discussing/debating.

The media wants Cavs fans to "get over it" yet they'll keep bringing it up when essentially Cavs fans have moved on from it all.

It's not just the national media. The Plain Dealer and Akron Beacon Journal have featured the anniversary in the sports section today. It obviously keeps selling, although it seems less likely that 2-year or 3-year anniversary stories will result in as much coverage in years to come.

What if one of the big 3 goes down in the playoffs. I know Miller and Haslem were hurt, but their injuries don't carry the weight an injury to Bosh or Wade would.

Re: The guy who wears #6 in Miami

I still can't believe 2 guys as good as basketball as Wade and LeBron can know so little about the game. How could they think those 2 together would work? Great teams and duos, trios etc, all have one thing in common; they are greater together than the sum of their individual parts. Well these two negate eachothers' talents and are worse together.

While I 100% believe the superteam/friends thing is ruining the game, and LeBron is still the best individual player in the world, I cannot understand why Riley would not deal LeBron for Dwight and create possibly one of the best teams of all time.
