I know not many of you care about Big East football. But it is types of shady deals like this that are killing college sports.
Anyone with legal knowledge think there is any possibility that a lawsuit could be construed over this? I mean the Big East turned down a few offers and was positioning themselves for a big time deal worth much more than the current ACC deal. It seems like ESPN is posturing in order to remove the likes of NBC and Versus from competition.
Now I don't know how true this is, but we all know Boomer is a Maryland Alumni. Could be a rumor, but where there is smoke there is fire. Boomer claims ESPN offered 5 million more per team to bring in Syracuse and Pitt. There goes our dreams of getting into The ACC Conference. The ACC didn't expand to be safe, they expanded to kill The Big East NBC deal.
