I am on board with drafting Richardson. Bottom line is our passing game really suffered from a lack of a run game. We had no balance what so ever. We threw the ball a lot more effectively when our play-action was a threat.
Key stat with Richardson: 1 fumble lost in 614 career touches. Alabama official athletics site claims Richardson has lost 1 fumble since 6th grade. Love it.
Lets get a dominant run game back in Cleveland. Smash mouth and a great defense should be the face of this franchise.
Your first point is the best one IMO.
While I'm certainly no advocate of Colt McCoy as the future QB for this team, one factor was undeniable from his rookie-to-sophomore transition. When the Browns sustained a capable running game and were able to set up manageable second and third downs, Colt McCoy looked like an infinitely better player.
