In my early teens I was really into amusement parks.
I'm still a roller coaster 'enthusiast' (because it's still a slightly better term than 'buff') and I'm excited to see there is a new ride headed to Cedar Point soon...ish. It really pisses me off that after years of setbacks in the mid-2000's at Magic Mountain Cedar Point still hasn't taken control of the coaster record. The last time (maybe a month ago?) I checked in on what the rumors were for a new coaster, things were pretty quiet, so it's great to see track laid out.
Pyro, as a self-claimed and overly-defensive amusement park expert (
), do you know where they'll be installing this thing? And has Cedar Fair tried anything similar at other parks?
As for the fast lane, if the results are anything like Disney, it'll be more than worth it. On a busy day at the Point, though, I find it kinda nice to have long lines in order to settle my stomach and head after intense rides. I really wish my body didn't already start taking coasters so badly.
NOTE:
In regards to the Cedar Point abbreviation, I find it odd that there are a lot of bad sounding amusement park names and abbreviations. I mean King's Island had Son of Beast (SOB), there's Millennium Force (MF or MilF), Magnum, the Faggot Express, and Cedar Point (CP). And the 'enthusiast' community is really dedicated to terminology like 'woodie'. WTF?
