2012 Draft

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
LOL at anyone who is seriously claiming "fix" with bitterness after we won the #1 pick the year after LeBron leaves with the #8 slot.

hmmm...well, the Cavs scouting is going to be very important at this point.

No reason to bitch. At least with #4, we're guaranteed to get one of Gilchrist, Beal or Drummond. Picking 4 is a helluva lot better than 5
and 6. Now, we want Drummond and Robinson to kick ass at the Chicago combine so they move up giving the Cavs more options at 4. The best thing about 4
is that we're not forced to take Barnes, which we might have been, had #6 been the pick.

Barnes is definitely in the equation. My guess it will be Drummond or Barnes right now. The Cavs fell about where I thought.

Kind of funny that they wantedto repeat what they did last year to get the same result and ended up getting the same Cleveland pick. Anyway it's a good year to get 4. I'd say the difference between a Robinson/Beal/Drummond to Davis is a lot smaller than the difference between kyrie and TT.

Drummond will go higher after measurements i believe. so maybe beal can drop down?

Bigs values always rise with workouts and the closer you get to the draft. I guarantee we will have pick of either Beal or Gilchrist. Wouldn't even be shocked(though not likely), if they both were there are four.

Never underestimate Jordan's ability to make a pick out of left field. Can't see Gilchrist making is past the Wizards though.

Also think it will likely come down to Drummond or Barnes. I just don't want Robinson. Completely understand BPA but picking him doesn't make sense to me after the Thompson pick last year. Don't want one of my top 4 picks to only be a backup. Jones could be in mix but see the other 2 above him.

I've been saying if the Cavs end up at #4 or below I would have no problem taking Drummond. Don't see any other available player who you would definitely say is a must have or guarantee over him. #4 was the spot where I would start to consider him.

I really think AD, T-Rob, and possibly Drummond go before we pick.

Worst case scenario, we're at 4, looking at MKG and Beal gone. We could choose between Drummond/Barnes/TRob?

We could still end up with Beal if Charlotte or Washington go with Thomas Robinson

Maybe Michael Jordan will bite on Drummond, then we take Beal or MKG with our pick. If we have a choice between Barnes and Drummond, Barnes will be less of a risk but he wont make us much better. Especially with Jamison leaving that's around 20ppg that needs to be replaced, and guarantee Barnes has a higher chance of doing that than Drummond.

This still might not be bad. There is probably a chance that Thomas Robinson could fall down to the Cavs, which would be great. Maybe even Kidd-Gilchrist. It just depends on team needs, but I would be very happy with either of them. Just trying to find the positive side of this (yes it is rigged).

Absolutely NOBODY wants Thomas Robinson. We take MKG or Beal (if one of them falls) or we take Drummond if both of them are gone. You say it depends on team needs, which is the main reason of many reasons why taking Robinson would be a horrible pick. The only reason we would take a PF is if we could get Anthony Davis, which we can't. MKG/Beal or Drummond if all else fails. That is all.

I really don't think there's reason to be disappointed

Yeah, I'm with you. Had the Cavs dropped to #5, that would have been reason to bitch and moan.

At #4, the Cavs are guaranteed one of the remaining top tier players (Beal, MKG, Drummond).

Cavs could use any of the 3.
