2012 Draft

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Okay so new question!

What is your worst case scenario for the cavss? Who goes 1 2 3?

If your worst case happens then who do the cavs take?

Also is that player such a bad one to take?

For instance many of you might say your worst case would be Barnes.

Is barnes that bad?

Do you think that with Kyrie we could mold him into what he actually has the potential to be!?
worst case is barnes. second worst is robinson. well, unless the cavs have some dark horse sleeper pick that is a total reach, i guess. then that'd be worst case:)

barnes still doesn't have all that much potential. certainly not as much as many - including barnes himself - think/thought for the past few years.

cavs are really desperate for the best young talent possible so yeah, it would be pretty bad.

Thats actually really helpful because that would definitely set us up for success :D
Yay bobcats draft drummond!

It's very possible that Grant have to choose between Barnes/Drummond or some similar situation.

Starting next year Kyrie is carrying this team to the very back end of the lottery (at least). Grant cannot fuck this up.

At least we have something to talk about until draft day.

My worst case scenario would be if Beal fell to us and we took Barnes. I can imagine something similar to the mass head explosions that happened after last year's fourth selection. Even so, I feel that 2-6 is full of 3rd option type players (minus the boom/bust Drummond), so we should be fine either way.

I'm not giving up multiple assets to move up from 4 to 2. I have no problem staying put. There will be a good prospect still available and the drop off isn't so great that you give up a lot to move up 2 spots.

There's a small chance Beal is there at 4 but I doubt it. I don't have a problem ending up with either Drummond or Barnes. I'd put them at #4 & #5 on the list of the best fits or options for the Cavs anyway.
Don't want Robinson after the Thompson pick last year. Position needs to at least somewhat be factored in and I don't consider him any better a prospect than Drummond or Barnes.

If Charlotte does not take MKG, Washington will. The Wiz have 6 power forwards and Nene. If Blathce was not such a head case, the would be set, but I would bet the wiz could trade Blatche for someone useful. With Wall, Crawford and MKG, and Nene patrolling the lane' they could probably play Seraphin and compete.

Trade 4th to Sacramento for 5th and the removal of their protection on their first that we own! Let them take the risk on Drummond.

This team desperately needs a Big too...lets not forget our bigs consist of AV, TT, and Samardo. We need to address it in FA or with this pick...

they'd have absolutely no outside shooting.

as a matter of fact, last they picked a player similar to gilchrist in a lot of ways in chris singleton. wouldn't really be all that surprising/bad to see them go for an offensive 2 like beal instead of gilchrist.

wiz like to throw logic out the window tho so anything can happen

Beal or Drummond. I'll be sick if they take Barnes or Robinson over them.

fwiw max has said barnes is not in their top 5. of course that was a few months ago so a ton could've changed since then and up until the actual draft so...

truthfully i am more nervous about them selecting robinson than them selecting barnes.

hmm...good to know...i thought they were still high on Barnes...well, in that case I have no idea who they're looking at.
