KYRIE IRVING SACRIFICES FRIENDSHIPS TO PRESERVE PUBLIC IMAGE

Had an interview at the Cleveland Clinic today for employment. I broke the ice talking about the Cavs, Kyrie Irving, and the NBA Draft. This is what I took/gathered from the ice breaker.

#1: One of the members of the panel said he spoke with Kyrie multiple times during his rehabs. I joked and said "Kyrie probably was in on the fix for a high draft pick this year". The guy responded "No way in Hell...Kyrie is a fierce competitor, no way he wants to lose ever. Same goes for his father (who is with him always)....Kyrie's father, when he found out Kyrie slapped a wall with his hand and broke it was so pissed he wanted to beat the hell outta him"

#2: Asked about Noels Knee. He stated that he wasn't concerned with the Knee anymore, more about his actual physical stature. Believe he will get pushed around, and may take more time than Christmas to come back. Said it's a huge mental block, and you tend to over compensate for that type of injury. I asked about Rose. He laughed and stated "Seems like mental weakness after that much time... you just have to do it(hit the court)"

Said would like them to take someone without the injury concerns, but realizes Noels advanced metrics and how he measures out are all on the high end. He also talked about Alex Len and how his measureables aren't too shabby either and that he actually does have some offensive to go with his "underrated" defense. Said Len is still 7'1 with a great wingspan and measurables.

When I get this job, I'll be the RCF Cleveland Clinic Insider :D. Fingers Crossed.

Cleveland Clinic Insider would violate all kinds of HIPAA laws :chuckles:

Good luck! I hope you get the job.

To the other Australian RCF Fans out there (I know there's some of you here) !
Kyrie's in Melbourne next week to hold some basketball camps! So if you live in Victoria (South-east suburbs) he's gonna be down at the state basketball center in Knox. This is a great (and probably our only) chance to see a living, breathing, Cavalier in their prime. I just want to get the news out there cause I almost missed it myself. Not many NBA players make it down here and to have a Cavalier, let alone Kyrie himself, is one hell of an opportunity for us international Cavs fans.

Additional details here!

Oh and Boguts gonna be down there aswell working out with some of our NBL players.

Words cant explain how excited I am for next week. Never thought I'd be able to see him in person in my life.

i think it kicks ass how big of a fan you are from all the way in Australia, but what made you a fan before Kyrie? im always curious about that, being a fan from so far away, usually a cool story behind it

I have so many things planned already. Walk into Nerlens rehab "Hey, whoops sorry, wrong room...How you doing over there big fella?"

Walk into Kyrie's Room: "O sorry to have walked into this area, but since I'm here, I have this Rookie Card, and Jersey on me, if you wouldn't mind?

:D

Kyrie is a big partyer and I think it can be a big downfall. I have a friend who is real big in the Cleveland club area and gets VIP treatment and he said he sees Kyrie out all the time on game nights and before game days drinking his ass off. He was even killing bottles of Ciroc in the club before he was 21. I'm the hugest Kyrie fan ever but he had a couple sloppy games last year that I really believe came from partying to hard the night before. I don't care if he goes out and has a good time but he really shouldn't be doing it if he has a game the next day or at least getting falling over wasted.

Probably the fact that Kyrie was born in Australia :chuckles:

The worst part of this was reading he was killing bottles of Ciroc, what a shit vodka.

Givony reporting from the Nike Skills Academy:

Apparently Aaron Craft has been really holding his own defending Kyrie Irving here. Picking him up full-court and making him work.
