Its s damn shame what that asshole Potato Head has done to this franchise and its assets. We are THE joke of the league

Mike Brown has done a very bad job. He may get fired before the year is out or in the offseason. But if you're reducing the situation to him messing up the assets and frnachise, then you have not been paying attention much to this site and the media over the past few weeks.

The organization would rather burn through the roster before settling in on the idea that Irving is also part of the problem. In fact, his defense is easily the worst on the team but he still starts. The players aren't stupid, they see this. Hell, they openly talk about to Jason Lloyd and it seems they are pretty fed up behind closed doors.

It's not Kyrie's immaturity. It's his personality and that's something that will not change.

But part of it immaturity and it is extremely unlikely for a 21 year olds personality not to change.

There is just a buttload of literature on this.

Ahahahahah.

Los just can't catch a break.

This is what I want Dion to become. Always push the ball, and just be a bull going to the hoop.

I think the other problem with Dion is that he's not the type of player who you bring in when you're trying to create a culture and build up a franchise... He's very much a wildcard player and he seems like the type of piece you bring in later once you have an established culture/identity... Then you can kind of let him do his thing..

But now within a team trying to build and grow, where there are no defined roles and everything is up for grabs, it seems like the worst case scenario for a marriage between Dion and a team...

Dion needs to grow up but not do it on a team that's growing up itself...

Agree. Dion needs to be around a stable collection of vets for his development. That doesn't seem to be happening here. In fact, the void of leadership on this team is one of the main reasons we have struggled so much, imo.

It is one thing to try and grow a young roster, but without the right vets and mentors, "at-risk" players become more risky. Dion is a solid example.

I think Chris grant drafted dion because he saw past past cavalier teams and saw that we didn't have any body to create their own shot outside of lebron. We missed out on beal and mkg. Then after that guys around the 4th pick were T-rob, Drummond, Barnes and lillard.

The myth that Waiters is a chemistry problem is pretty ridiculous now. The Cavs (minus Bynum) are -12.5 per 100 possessions with Waiters off the floor, and +0.3/100 with him on it. Yes this miserable team has been on par with their opponents or slightly better with Waiters on the floor. To contrast, the Cavs are -5.4/100 without Kyrie, and -4.6/100 with Kyrie.

What exactly does a 12.8 point per 100 possession improvement with Waiters on the floor mean? I have no idea, but it sure doesn't signify a chemistry problem. It signifies the opposite. If the guys hate him so much I highly doubt they would play their best ball next to him.

Dion can create his own shot and get the rim but he can't finish

Kyrie breeds an inefficient brand of basketball. He gets trash canned on both ends of the floor these days.

I know...i was his biggest fan too. :( He's lost me. He's too thin skinned and can't accept constructive criticism at all. Someday he may be able to, but i dont want to wait until then. The altercations, getting kicked out of practice, films, quitting, pouting, "AYYYYEEE!!!", "AND ONNNNEE!!!!". I'm done with it all. He respects no one, no idea why he expects it back. From the coaches to his teammates to the refs...it's everyone else's fault. He has a ton of talent, but he's uncoachable at this point and killing any chance of developing chemistry.

It's baffling to me that those remaining in the Dion camp continue to call for more minutes and for him to start when you keep hearing about him getting kicked out of practices, meetings, having altercations with teammates, etc. Are we supposed to reward his pouting and being a malcontent?
Same thing in game threads...everyone giggles when he yells "AND ONE!" and "AYYYYYEEEE!!!!". You all bitch because he doesn't get calls. Guess why he doesn't get calls - the refs hate him. He's disrespectful.

Dion is the problem, it's not everyone ganging up on Dion.

Let me clarify this since some are taking it the wrong way. Dion is responsible for the drama surrounding Dion..meaning Dion brings it upon himself. I am not blaming Dion as the single problem for this train wreck of a season.

The problem with the team? That's a much longer list. Dion would be on it, but so would Kyrie, Jack, Gilbert, Brown and others. So please don't accuse me of letting Kyrie off the hook. Dion needs to keep his emotions in check, keep his mouth shut and play hard. Let Kyrie hang himself with his lack of effort.

Now I can agree with this for the most part. Dion does need to learn to keep his mouth shut and just shoot free throws, jumpers, and left hand layups all day every day. The idea that trading him is going to solve any problem is a joke unless the problem is that this team has won too many games for ones liking.

The biggest question for me at this point is what could we get for Dion. Because, I'm sort of in line with your thinking in that I was a huge supporter of him and so excited to see his growth coming into this season, but the constant controversy that follows him around is wearing on me. Dion is a lightening rod right now and I believe the reason may be his dismissal of constructive criticism and/or a visible desire to change the way he operates to make this thing work.

I still like his potential a lot, but I'm no longer opposed to moving him.

But, what can we get for Dion right now? Seems to me not much. Would it be addition by subtraction? I don't think you can afford to do that with this kind of talented young player. We need to get something back that will help the longterm growth of the team.

FWIW, when the TNT guys picked their rising star team rosters, neither picked Dion. DW went to a roster in a blind draw of the last 4 slots.
