You're kidding right?

First of all, it's an unspoken, well actually spoken, rule that you play purposefully weak defense in all star games. It's a exhibition, a talent show, not a tournament or combine.

Second, Waiters actually wrapped a dude up in the first quarter (don't remember who) to prevent the easy bucket, and he got side-eyed by a bunch of players. He got caught up in the moment and instinctually tried to stop a dunk like you're supposed to in a real game, and then realized that the etiquette is to just let the dude dunk.

From that exact moment forward, you could see Dion literally step aside on fast breaks. As you should in an all star game.

Greg Monroe didn't get the memo :chuckles: , TT with the cameo

I think the crowd just proved my point. :chuckles:

lol @ "step aside".. I've seen guys get out the was of dunkers but not get out of guys' way at the three point line.

That's not a spoken nor unspoken rule.

I recommend you watch the 1992 Allstar game to see what makes an allstar game an allstar game. Competition brings out the best in everybody and makes for the best games imo. You'll probably never see passing like that again in an allstar game, especially if everyone believes as you do, that defense is not to be played. Well to those greats, it did (not to the point where you'll injure yourself), and winning mattered. And the result was the best allstar game of all time from a basketball quality standpoint imo. You really have to try to watch that game, it's a completely different animal than what we're watching today.

Don't get me wrong, I'm fine with whatever last night was. But expecting an A+ when a guy literally gets out of the way of the majority of all offense in the first half, is asking a lot.

:)

I've only seen like 2 posters on this site eat crow out of a truckload of instances. The community here is horrible in that regard.

Loved Dion's interview at practice today... Dion said he owed one to Hardaway for a 3 pointer he hit with about 30 seconds left when we were down 20 on TNT. Dion said he had to stand up for the organization and our team because he felt Hardaway tried to show us up. That is pride and heart right there, and it also shows you how he feels about the Cavs and the city of Cleveland. Also said some nice things about the fans.

Keep this man in Cleveland!!!

Dion Waiters putting Hardaway Jr. on the floor made this weekend's 'Shaqtin A Fool' on Inside The NBA.

Dion plays with heart. He wears his emotions on his sleeve. I think his displeasure with Kyrie has more to do with Kyrie being stuck up. He isnt Ricky Davis part 2. If Waiters gets moved you can consider this entire rebuild the same thing as the Lebron era but much worse..

FUCK!!!!!

bet its a sprain....please no acl

thank you...got up and walked off

That looked pretty bad. He may have walked off, but I'll be surprised if he's able to play anytime soon.
