Pat Riley is driving the salt truck

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If we don't trade for Love I wouldn't be surprised if Miami has a better record than we do this season.

Love the optimism, regarding the Heat's decline, Friends!

I, myself, am rather worried, as Bosh, Wade, and Deng are a formidable trio, until proven otherwise.

Right now, I think the Cavs and Heat are fighting over the 3rd and 4th seeds, but that may change, obviously.

But lots of valid points made above, and even if I don't buy it 100%, those dismissals of the Heat, as a team that is finished, bring joy to my heart...

I feel like this is obligatory

35 wins...Life without Lebron isnt as easy as some may believe.

Come on now, the Cavaliers won 33 games last year. I hate the Heat as much as the next guy, but they'll make the playoffs in a shitty Eastern Conference.

If the Heat didn't play in the East they would for sure be a lotto team. Every single position got a downgrade for them going into next year. Wade, Bosh getting older, same with Udonis, and the Bird, losing Allen, Lewis, and "replacing" LeBron with Deng.

If the Heat are a top 4 team in the East I will be shocked. If they are it will all be due to being in the worat division in the NBA imo.

This is finally time for Bosh and Wade to get exposed. Bosh is not a #1 option, and Wade can't play 70 games to he the #1. Wade and Deng might miss a combined total of over 80 games, and nobody would be surprised. The new look Heat will be nearly as bad as any Raptors team Bosh was the man on.

I estimate that our pick will be in the early teens. There ill be some teams in the West that miss the playoffs with a better record than the Heat.

I don't see any chance of that happening unless LeBron misses half the season. LeBron is worth fifty wins by himself. Wade used to be of a similar (albeit lesser) quality, but it's incredibly unlikely he'll play more than 55 games this season. Bosh couldn't even make the playoffs in the East the last time he was on his own. If LeBron is healthy, we'll absolutely have a better record than the Heat.

The big thing for the Heat is injuries. If they're healthy, they can be top five in the East.

Wade, and Deng will miss time next year though. Wade won't be healthy all next season.

I wish people would stop including the caveat "If the Heat stay healthy", because they won't. And even if they do stay healthy, their players are so broken down or have taken several steps backwards in the past couple of seasons.

What exactly does that have to do with the Heat in the East this season?

The Heat won what, 54 games last year? And they got worse and lost LeBron. Unless Wade is healthy and plays well for 75+ games, they aren't getting anywhere close to 50 wins. 45 wins max. It will be interesting to see how they end up running their offense, they lost a lot of their three point shooters (LeBron, Allen, Battier, Jones) that created so much space.

Cleveland
Chicago
Toronto
Washington
Atlanta
Indiana
Charlotte

I rank all those teams ahead of Miami. I could see New York and Miami fighting for the 8 seed.

100% agree with this. Deng, Wade, and Bosh are good. But they have absolutely NO depth.

Absolutely 0% chance Miami has a better record than the Cavs this season. Unless LeBron gets hurt.
