Progressive Field Renovations Planned Over 2 Years

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Gate C is going to have a Larry Doby statue!

Numbers are horrible compared to other HOFers, folks didn't start to remember him again until years afterward, Derek Jeter was a far superior player, doesn't deserve statue.

The concept art for the changes looks pretty cool. Can't wait to see them once they're actually completed.

With the bullpens being switched around, at least now we don't have to worry about the Reds throwing balls onto the field.

Are there other fields that share a bullpen? I am curious to see how this works when the pens and benches clear for a fight. :chuckles:

Angels is the first one that comes to mind.

The original retro park, Camden Yards, has a tiered bullpen.

What you pointed out is actually a benefit, though- instead of the bullpens having to run all the way in to join in the brawl, they can just brawl there. Plus, the OF fans are usually the ones with the worst view of the brawl and this brings them that much closer to the action. This setup really plans for all circumstances.

Beautiful!

But.... as you can see from the pictures, the block C and Indians logos are featured. No Chief Wahoo's. The day will be coming sadly.

Shapiro was asked about that, and said there is and will be absolutely no change in their Chief Wahoo strategy.

You mean because there was a lot of Chief Wahoo featured in the stadium design the previous 20 years? It's not indicative of anything.

Mark Shapiro has been saying that the whole time he has been in charge, yet the Chief has slowly dwindled away. He is just saying what he has to say to appease the part of the fanbase that has an unhealthy relationship wtih a sports logo.

Keep people like Pyro happy by saying nothing will change, then actually start phasing it out little by little because it's so badly in need of being put away.

Okay, before it really starts getting into it, can we not get into the Chief Wahoo debate again?

Poor Pyro, I dread the day his parents tell him about Santa Claus.

Wait, did you just compare Santa Claus to Chief Wahoo? That is like how Turkish PM Erdogan calling the Israelis to Hitler.
