It's just a testament to how shitty Brandon Weeden is. To think it means Hoyer is actually good is crazy. It just shows how much better a bad QB is compared to arguably the worst QB in football is.

He threw 3 picks in one of those games. Managed the game well in the second, where the defense won it. The third game he got hurt, and Weeden actually didn't screw up in relief.

Hoyer has never shown anything close to being a guy that can really play in this league. He's a backup, that's it.
 
Shouldn't come as a shock to people when this team averages 15ppg this year. They're going to have to score points on defense to average more than one TD a game.

Gordon being out half or more of the season won't help, but having two of the worst QBs in the league makes that moot anyways. This receiving core harkens to the MoMass/Robo/Stuckey days.

If this team wins 7 games this year I'll be shocked.
 
Along with the worst offense in the league, our pass defense sucks. I love the front 7, but if they don't get to the QB we are in trouble.

the problem is his competition for the starting QB is just as bad if not worse with a limited playbook

I think this coaching staff sucks. I don't care if its preseason, the play calling is so freaking horrible. This team looks confused on both sides of the ball.

WTF wouldn't they stick with Manziel, too? We know Hoyer blows, we don't need to see anymore of him. Manziel could use the reps. Just announce him the starter and be done with it.

You did draft him in the first round, you might as well invest in him like he's a first rounder....
 
Yeah, I have no issue with our defense. They looked good and those holds were garbage IMO.

Tate looks good.

Receivers... all of them... looked bad. They did not help either QB.

With that said, this is clearly Hoyer's team. His timing is clearly better.

It is preseason, everyone jumping off the bridge needs to back down and shutup.

no offense but i really hope you arent shocked when hoyer is announced as the starter tomorrow.

hoyer has been the starter for the first 2 games of the preseason, he was has more experience and actually knows the playbook.

When we go great in the Pre-season we suck in the regular season; Now that we suck in the Preseason too .... can you imagine how poor we might be ?
 
Why has no one addressed how horribly the browns have handled this whole situation?

It's been an absolute mess. They allow the media to drive the storylines. Why the hell would alternating every 2 series turn out well? Look at this game. We have no fucking idea who to start and what was thought to be a 'fair' system has given hoyer 2 extra series with the ones and the entire offense looks like its their first time playing football.
 
Just no rhythm in our offense.

Not totally surprising given the different styles of our QBs and the rotating.

Plus the penalties.
 
Truly I am disappointed! Not in the players, or the coaches, or the team as a whole(considering this is the {{{{PRE-SEASOn}}}} people!!!!!!! but I am tired of this "old culture" and these fickle fans and the sleptrock mentality(wowsy wowsy woo woo!} So here's a #challenge I challenge the whole contingent to STFU about the so-called "QB battle" until Its been decided by pettine! #Idareyou Go BROWNS!
