This is almost identical to how the Celtics formed their big three.

I think you have it right. You guys are going for the title home run like the Celtics did. But Minnesota did make out as well as anyone ever has when trading a top ten NBA player.

I also don't think you guys had a choice here. Seems like LeBron made this type of move part of his coming back home to the Cav's. So if Wiggins does blow up, I wouldn't feel too bad if I were a Cav's fan. His asset value was perhaps the lynchpin in getting LeBron.

Just thinking out loud..... I see this trade as a win-win-win for all teams involved. Us getting a top 10 player in the league, Philly dumping a player that would maybe win them one extra game and getting a pick, and Minny gets 2 Canadians that might turn into something decent and actually stay with the team.

I can tell you right now that Philly fans are fucking livid.

STOP TEASING US JOE!!

Only a handful of hours to go now. It's just past midnight here.. Might stay up for a few hours and see if it gets done before I head to bed.

Well, congrats to Minnesota.

I'll just have to settle for being the favorites to win the title.

A source up here, who has continually been right on everything, and that info has been relayed here only to get dismissed as trolling, says the trade should be announced around 11 cst. Enjoy Love, it was a strange ride with him here. I want to blame him but I know it was horrible FO moves and actions. I turned on KG when he left and will/have turned on Love already but know why they did what they did. That is the homer in me I guess. Already a number 1 Wiggins fan. Glad we at least got some hope up here out of the deal. Flip will be praised, get people back in the seats, you guys will contend for years, probably winning a few. Love is in the East, don't have to worry about him much. Seems like a Win-Win. Dont freak out when you start 5-3, it will take time.

The ad is from the Sunday paper (part of which gets distributed on Saturday). They might draw a fine for that premature money-grab.

Thought it was funny they didn't take the time to Photoshop Wolves uniforms on the new players.

According to Steve Aschburner, the Wolves owner also owns the paper.

In that case, it looks like Minnesota is going to announce the trade today after it is finalized. They must be very confident everyone will pass their physicals.

I'm not faulting you guys for what you did. The LeBron/Love thing was perhaps a package deal. That's how I'd view it as a Cav's fan, because again if Wiggins blows up, there will be a natural tendency to then wish you didn't make this trade. But you had no choice IMO. As WorldWideWindhorst said, LeBron and his posse are back as co-owners of the Cav's again. As a fan, I'd make that devil's bargain because LeBron is obviously worth it.

Definitely a victory. I understand that people wanted to strike gold and land Love without losing the high-ceiling rookie in Wiggins, but I think we should continue celebrating the amazing luck that allowed us to score Wiggins and (in my opinion) swing this whole, fantastic off-season.

And can we get a statue of Chris Grant? I want a statue. That guy did a hell of a job collecting the assets that made this all possible, and all he has to show for it is much, much more money than I'll ever make.

I have to give it to you. You were very persistent through all this(albeit an annoying shit:chuckle:). But we tried to give you Waiters and you said NO!!!!!!!!!!. Lmao wish Wiggins and the Wolves fan best of luck✊

And he rehired Mike Brown and signed Bynum and Jack which continued the circle of suck for one more year allowing us to get Wiggins. YEEEEE!!!

Give Chris Grant credit for what? Sucking? We had to give up 3 first rounders just to get rid of his failed free agent signing in Jarret Jack to sign Lebron. And It's likely that if he didn't blow so many of our draft picks we wouldn't even have to give up Wiggins in the 1st place. Oladipo + picks and fillers would have gotten it done.

Chris Grant, the forgotten hero:

Grant did some decent things, but this chain of events can be more attributed to blind luck than anything else.

The assets helped but let's face it, none of this would be happening if we didn't have LeBron James.

He was a lot more successful fronting Weezer.
