What's most incredible about this tournament, is that Kyrie continues to show that on the big stage, AND most importantly, when surrounded by absolutely quality players, he can deliver.

And that's something very rare for an "overrated" player at his age.

Congrats Ky! These players continue to excite and prepare us for something big this season.

he just never seemed to adjust to the way the games were being called by the refs, which made his minutes and rotations kinda funky and that probably bothered his rhythm a bit. oh well, fuck him, fuck 'em all right now honestly. Kyrie proved why he's the best guard on team USA once and for all!
 
Good for him and I'm sure it was a growing experience, but that wasn't exactly great competition. Wish we'd played Spain and France just to see some real basketball. I'm just glad he didn't get hurt.
 
Congrats Kyrie. All Star MVP, Gold medal winner and tournament MVP, now he just needs to go ahead and win a championship and be Finals MVP.
 
Not to harp on old stuff, but in hindsight it's incredible just how bad of a coach Mike Brown was for this team last year. When you have a talent like Kyrie that no one can guard and is a top 10 offensive player in the league, you need to run a system that puts him in the best position to succeed. Brown failed spectacularly at that.

I get that Kyrie had a lot to work on on defense so that was the focus, but you don't overemphasize it to the extent that it takes away some of his elite offensive talent. That kind of strategy worked with LeBron because he's the best player in the league...it wouldn't work with anyone else.
 
The next Marbury and Steve Francis. Oh and trade him and build around Dion! smfh.

Glad he stepped up in the biggest game and his entire tournament efficiency isn't too shabby either.
 
Amazing how good he is compared to his peers. Rising star game..dominant. All star game...dominant. fiba world cup...dominant. now he's pretty much playing with an all star lineup with the Cavs this year. Cavs fans should be rejoiced
 
I'm sure he was surprised. Media spent all the time talking about Davis and Faried.
