While I agree with your premise, the Cavs were only outscored 7-4 during this span and went into the 4th quarter down by 3 points. Maybe they build a lead with a different lineup, but it's not like that one got run off the court.

Regardless of what the numbers were, you should be trying to close quarters as strongly as possible. Don't punt and give the other team some breathing room.

The momentum was in the balance at that point and Blatt served it up on a platter for the spurs.

It happened at halftime too didn't it? Irving was on FIRE and Blatt took him out with a minute left in the 2nd and the spurs reeled of an extra 4-5 points.
 
I wonder if Lebron has Blatt so nervous, he won't be prone to more of these errors. The Harris debacle was really bad.

Lebron talked about moving the ball like a Spursesque team, but it isn't happening that way. For all of Kyrie and Dion's sins, Lebron is a even bigger sinner. Dion and Love were really used badly against the Spurs and had trouble "getting into it". It starts at the top.
 
You can't possibly have this much talent on a roster, and fail to distribute the scoring properly amongst your top 3 players. Clearly, the coaching is an issue that needs to be fixed ASAP.

I would highly recommend Dan Gilbert to look at other coaches in this league that push this team to the next level, clearly Blatt isn't the right choice. It pissed me off seeing Kyrie get hot and Blatt pulling him right before halftime.

Blatt is clearly the reason why were losing. We lost by 2 points. Blatts rotations gave up an easy 5-6 points in a span of 2 minutes with his substitutions in the start of the 4th quarter. Than, you waste all of your timeouts in the 4th when clearly, the game was going to come down to the final second...so why would you not save your timeouts?

Pisses me the fuck off. Tired of seeing this team struggle and digressing because Blatt can't fucking coach this team.

And being invested in this team, I have every right to be upset and to call out this guy.

You surmised all of this from 10 games with a new coach, new system, and 10 new players on the team?

Heat fans went crazy calling for Spo's head 10 games into their first year and he turned out alright.

It makes me wonder if you have ever played basketball? Continuity and confidence are ridiculously important which is why almost every top team has a core that has been together for years. You simply can't have 10 moving parts and hope for everything to be running efficiently immediately.

Pop even said last night that this team will be 2 or 3 times better later in the year.

He gets it.

I find it funny how much you hate the guy lol. He's only coached 10 NBA games; calling for his head now is premature as hell. Give him a chance to grow with the team.

I will agree though that I get really frustrated by his rotations. He needs to get better in that area quickly because it's costing us games.
 
I played organized basketball my whole life, obviously I wouldn't be as upset if I didnt play ball myself.

I played ball for Wilbur Wright Middle School, John Marshall High and for St Ignatius Church League on Lorain Ave And West Blvd. I'm no dummy, but I know a garbage coach when I see one.

Blowing all of his timeouts before the clock hit 2 minutes in the 4th quarter sealed it for me. I knew at that very moment, tha would cost us the game and probably cost him a long tenure here.

I-77 is trying force Blatt out so he can become our next coach.

I mean shit, with a resume like that, he'd probably be the top candidate!

You've been holding a grudge against the guy ever since he was signed, because of his identity and because of one political statement he made that you disagreed with. At least don't pretend that the reason you want him fired has anything to do with basketball.

Bro, there are like 3+ head coaches on this staff. I assure you it's not coaching or schemes.

It's the comprehension and execution of such schemes and the willingness by the players to run an articulate offensive system.

You forget that guys like Love and Irving have always played with the offense flowing through them, individually.

Give it time. Love, Irving, and Blatt are all new to the "Big 3" concept. It's nowhere near "easy," as you so put it.

HAS NOTHING to do with any political issue. Hell, Dan Gilbert probably shares the same politcal views as Blatt, and I love and support Dan G to the fullest.

If you're blind to see that this guy's style of coaching is not FIT for this team, than I'm going to imagine you really are in denial of this guys lack of competence as an NBA coach.

Yeah, you're totally qualified to evaluate professional, head coaching talent. :chuckle:
 
The fact that he played Harris the final 17 minutes even though he hadn't hit a shot since the first half is trouble some. First of all he is a second round rookie in a big game. He has to play the vets a little more due to basketball IQ and savvy. He is pressing right now and treating every game like its a must win instead of developing a culture for players and team and grow upon that.
