Let it all out. The Cavaliers Rant Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Trading Wiggins for Love was a move you make 10 times out of 10. Wiggins would provide us nothing right now.

The problem is that we never got a center, LeBron either has not bought into Blatt's offense, or Blatt is incompetent at installing an offense, and LeBron is an even worse defender than Kyrie Irving this year.

The defense was always going was always going to be a work in progress, but if Mike Brown could get last year's bunch in the top half of the league defensively, it can be done with this team as well. It just takes time. And a center.

It could of been deeper then the Heats squad last year. Who did the big 3 play with last year? Lewis? Cole? That team was an absolute joke around them. I envisioned us having Marion, Jack, Waiters and possibly even Zeller or Miles off the bench. I don't know if it was a culture issue but we gutted the entire team.

The other problem is letting Lebron play assistant GM. Riley wouldn't let Lebrons side show clown agents even near the arena. Good decision

There's this thing called the salary cap.

You want us to calm down or is this a 80's reference to Frankie goes to Hollywood? Two Tribes....Baseball season around the corner.:chuckle:

It's actually an NFL 2014 Regular Season reference. See: Rodgers, Aaron.

I know it ticks lots of people off but the way some of us Love trade opponents got dismissed on here (and still do) makes us want to keep harping on it. That trade set this franchise back. I want us to fire Griffin, he hasn't done anything right since coming here other than arguably drafting Wiggins, and even then I remember worrying he was going to pick Jabari.

Bennett sucks. Wiggins is mediocre, and regardless of how good he may be eventually (very questionable) he wasn't going to do jack shit for us when we needed it: ie, RIGHT NOW.

So just stop.

I still dont get why we didnt go after Corey Brewer.

I'm sure we did, but we don't have that many tradeable assets.

The ones that we do have are probably deemed to be too valuable to be jettisoned off for Corey Brewer. I understand we have a window of opportunity here, but if we give away whatever assets we have left just to compete this year and we fail, we'll have no way to improve in the future.

Trade coming sooner rather than later I imagine. Gilbert was probably livid today. If there is a better way to refute the notion that they can still compete with AV out than a blow out to a shit team at home?

If the Cavs kept Keith Bogans we would have still had the three 2nd round picks to package with Joe harris which would of beat Houston's offer. What's the point of a trade exception with no assets to trade with it?

OMG!! I was joking! I don't give a shit about Aaron Rogers reference to the 80's song. You really should Relax, don't do it. When your gonna post.

The weaknesses of this team are well-chronicled on this board, but as someone who's heading toward 40 years of being a Cavs fan, this is one of the laziest Cavs teams I can recall... right down there with the Stepien and Lucas teams. They just flat out don't play consistently with effort, especially at the defensive end. It floats away with missed shots, with the other team hitting a few 3s, etc. This team may not be a great D, but they can get stops... we've seen it.

James is a lot of the problem. When the Heat won 54 games and made the finals, I wondered if we'd start seeing a more lax attitude to the regular season. I think he's bored with the regular seasons. The rest of the team follows his lead.

I've also noticed that their best efforts come when they're playing a good team they haven't played before or they are playing a team that embarrassed them previously. I expect them to be ready for Atlanta.

This. I guarantee you that had we kept those guys and they weren't doing anything to help us win, everyone would be up in arms about why we didn't get Love.

Wiggins would help our defense some although he's not a plus defender yet (as few are as rookies), but he would hurt us on offense. No way do we have the 4th/5th rated offense without Love's spacing.

So, we would be marginally better on defense, worse on offense, and probably wouldn't have 18 wins. The one thing that we MIGHT have seen is Lebron not taking it so easy with a younger squad but that would have just burned him out anyway.

Shocking that someone actually disagrees with this post. The trade that was done is done 10/10 times period. As someone that has watched Wiggins play something like 12 times now I will tell you that the odds that he is EVER as good as Kevin love are extremely low.

Not to mention if he does become that good it would be years off when Lebron is in his twilight. Can we just put this shit to bed? We made an excellent move and were able to dump AB's albatross contract to boot.
