It's not spinning this interview any type of way... Just because the Browns "interview" a candidate for the job, doesn't mean they're seriously considering that candidate for the job... Sometimes it's a favor to the coach or agent... Sometimes it' really is about information gathering from different coaches... Sometimes it's saying they're interviewing them for the OC spot but really looking at them in different roles...
For instance, I'd be willing to bet any amount of money that if Martz, Saunders or Hostler get hired, it's not for the OC job but for a more senior offensive advisory role type...
The Martz interview shouldn't really come as a concern, I don't see it as one..
I see the Browns covering a wide variety of candidates, trying to best piece together a staff that will succeed going forward..
Still think Trestman and DeFilippo as the top candidates, although it seems like Gailey is a guy to still watch too (SMH)...
