Game 58 Cleveland at Detroit

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Jesus you guys think you can just throw guys in there because they match in size? Perkins on the floor = playing 4v5 offense, if not 4v6. On D he will be PnR'd to fucking hell because he is not familiar with our switch patterns and defensive schemes.
You think they are just gonna feed Drummond and let him battle it out? They will PnR the shit out of Perkins, knowing he would hedge too high, switch unnecesarily and get in the way of the guard to stay with his man.
Not counting ISOs, basically all of our set plays depend on precise movement. Having Perkins in there is like having a cardboard cut out.

Our way back into the game is making plays for Kyrie and JR and getting them back in the game, and Moz not getting called for shitty fouls for quite some time.
Question is do you give up the pick and roll game in favor of the backdown against TT game? If The Pistons guards couldn't shoot I honestly would give up the PnR because Kyrie and JR are playing hard enough on D but hell no against Reggie and Caldwell-Pope. Better off telling TT to grow a pair. If Love can lock down their leading scorer then TTs ass should be good enough to at least contain Drummond

Who cares what they did against Rose, he's a glass body ready to break.

If you fart on him he'll die.

Well see how the cavs respond starting in the 3rd that will tell us if they ready for golden state or they want to win this game first

There's always way more users in the game thread when we're getting our ass kicked :chuckle:

I hate the new rating system. Some idiot I've never heard of gave me negative rep for saying "Damn it Kyrie" when he made that stupid, stupid foul on Reggie Jackson that even Fred and AC were on him for.

You know perhaps Blatt just wanted to get Perkins a few minutes of action. They've got 27 games and multiple long playoff series to worry about and figure out the best matchups. Battle/war. Forest/Trees

Good to see that when we have a deficit for a half we can quickly go back to ostracizing a few players rather than accepting that ALL NBA teams have bad halves, quarters, stretches and we are overdue for a couple.

Eh, I wouldn't say being down by nine is getting our ass kicked. We played well up until late second quarter where we went cold.

Not feeling good about a comeback in this one at all. If they beat us, we better make a statement against Golden State on Thursday.
Wtf? One bad half and we can't come back. Damm people are over the top negative!

I agree. I would rather TT battle it out and try his best, than leaving good shooters open all around.

Let's give coach a little benefit of the doubt here...Perk has been with the team for like 3 hours...a lot of coaches would have a hard time plugging a player in in that kind of situation.

He didn't play that badly, they got an OReb on him because the ball got punched 20 feet in the air. He scored on a lay-up, there was one miscommunication when nobody stopped Reggie on the perimeter, and he got called for a moving screen that wouldn't get called at the Q or if this were Perkins on the Celtics a few years ago because he has always gotten away with that.

I said that I'M not feeling it, not that we can't come back. That three point play at the end gave them a ton of momentum.
