LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I thought this was an extremely selfish performance. The free throws didn't bother me as much as his decisions to just go one on five by himself throughout most of the game.

A step backward for him and the team IMO.

Awful game from him offensively. His defense though was good to see but he was very laboured on the offensive end. Forget the atrocious free-throws. He had the chance to finish at the rim twice or thrice and he missed the lay-ups. All in all, a horrible game from him.

I am not mad at all. I am concerned, you got to wonder if his back is really bothering him. He looked very stiff out there, probably shouldn't have played. I just hope he's alright. Otherwise we're in trouble. Our next 7 so games, is murder's row.

Not sure what to say other than it was just a disappointing performance.

What I posted in the gameday forum.

The absolute worst is when LeBron shoots the tech with Irving on the floor. It drives me nuts

Who knew that selfishness on that tech FT would cost us/him later.

I guess we do need to sign Ray Allen. Because that seems to be the only guy he wont jump in front of to take the tech.

But I'm glad in a way. Let LeBron feel this loss was on him. I'm sure Skip Bayless got a woody and is thankful for LeBron giving him material for tomorrow's show.

Hopefully he channels that at starts spending extra time shooting Fts. He was at 72% before this game

Time to get to work LeBron.

So he missed some free throws and we lost a game against one of the best teams in the league without our second best player. It's important to remember that Houston really rattled Lebron earlier in the game by playing dirty. The referees likewise took our players out of the game with some terrible non calls and despite everything we fought back and nearly won. It's a lesson learned and next time the players will know how to deal with such situations a bit better. The team is still playing in an admirable way, fighting tooth and nail to win games, sometimes we lose one, sometimes we win, as long as we don't give up we should be proud of our team.

To be fair, there is no instance where a player(whether Lebron, KD, Russ, Harden) have as many free throws as the other team or close to it. I refuse to believe that those teams weren't fouling left and right and "conveniently" the cavs fouled more. On the other hand, his free throw shooting was one of the worst shooting displays I've seen personally in a while. He rushed his shots and didn't seem like he took the time to gather himself. Also his elbow stuck out a lot....didn't Ray Allen work with him last year to help fix that? Any former heat fans have any idea? Just curious because I thought I had heard that

The refereeing was bad and as were his free-throws but like some have said, the biggest issue was him playing incredibly selfish basketball late in the fourth quarter as well as over time. Hopefully the only reason for that was him trying to push for that MVP award and he resorts back to his normal self. Good wake-up call for him!

At least this will likely spur LeBron to get some extra FT's up in the gym. He usually shoots them better in the playoffs too.

Unfortunate it cost us a game tonight, but I think we battled pretty well despite an adverse situation.

Get this dude in the gym to practice his FTs. He's now shooting 71% at the line for the season (292/408). That's 116 points left at the line this season! He's nearly in the 60s percentage wise!

FTs are a bummer. I have a huge problem with some of his possessions in this game. Pounding the ball for 20 seconds and jacking up a fadeaway jumper is just bad basketball. That won't get this team anywhere in the postseason. Run the plays and trust your teammates

I didn't understand Lebron shooting the tech FT's. Even when he is hitting FT's at his usual clip, he is 75%. Why is Love not shooting those shots? Not only is he the better FT shooter, but it allows Love to see the ball go in basket and get more confidence.

LB didn't choke to me, haters will say that, I don't care. The guy wasn't making them all game. His back looked stiff, the way he was shooting them.

Not surprised he missed them both. Not surprised he started settling for more jumpers, than taking it to the hoop. That's a guy not feeling like himself out there.

Then perhaps he should trust his talented teammates to help him out a bit more. I don't think he choked.. I think he was selfish. In fact I don't think that's really debatable. So, he had options available to him if he's hurt or just had an off night shooting and instead decided to make this about him vs Harden (IMO).

As I said, Lebron was completely rattled, he nearly beat up another player earlier in the game. You could see that he was driven by anger and frustrations. He lost his focus and consequently the team lost. Lebron will calm down, understand that he lost his cool and hopefully learn how to control his anger a bit better as a result. We needed such a loss as everything has been going too easily recently. The team needs to understand that they are not unbeatable and come back to earth as I suspect we all need to understand.
