Gour, no disrespect because your one of my favorite posters here, but to put this on "blatts offense" and not Lebron chucking and bricking is comical. We all know that blatt doesn't run the play, and if Lebron doesn't want to run it then he won't. Simple as that. Especially after the first half of this year, that should be very obvious.

Bro, you're not honestly saying that Blatt has no control over the offense are you?

Kevin Love getting no touches is on Blatt just as much as it's on LeBron. Mozgov not being in the game is only on Blatt.

If I was Kevin love, I would be furious at Lebron(and a little at blatt for taking him out for so long). Kevin was playing great and shooting great, and Lebron just decided he would put the team on his back to a fat L in the loss column.

First off, the loss isn't as important as the misuse of Kevin Love that's been going on season long and has been pointed out by commentators and analysts for quite some time.

Kevin Love had a great game. Blatt has to make a stand and tell LeBron to get Love going. He's gotta make it known, Love needs to get some touches, spread the offense, move the ball.

I don't think we have any evidence that Blatt said anything like that and LeBron just ignored him. I don't even think that would happen for an entire 1.5 qtrs of basketball.

Blatt deserves as much if not more blame than LeBron for this loss.

Matthew Dellavedova played more than Kevin Love. I know he had some foul trouble earlier (nothing to keep him out of the game that long).

These are things that drive fans like me crazy. I am not blaming the loss on anyone particular, we got beat, more like ran out of gas. Guys were hurt, LB not himself.

But how in the hell do you justify playing Delly this much!! These are coaching decisions that scare me, and leave me to think he'll do stuff like this come playoff time.

Not to mention having Moz at the rim wouldve made Harden's life a little tougher. Oh well...

Exactly, he's bringing down Opp eFG by 6% just by being on the floor.

He should've been put back in.

Blatt made a mistake. He'll learn from it surely; but the misuse of Moz and Love was big. It removed LeBron's ability to have other scoring options on the floor and it eliminated our ability to get easy baskets.

And for too long we tried to outshoot the Rockets. The fuck for? If Irving had been in the game, he would've just driven to the basket nonstop.

Blatt can't say shit to Lebron still, we all know that. I agree with substitutions that moz should have been in and love should have played more but blatt can't magically take the ball out of Lebron's hands and give love shots. If we haven't learned that Lebron as to be treated like a princess when given orders then we are watching two different players. And Kevin love working in the elbow limits Lebron and Kyries slashing ability and adds an extra defender near the rim which I can understand why they don't run it (although I personally would like to see them run some sets from the elbow for him).

Delly played more because he was the only PG on the roster. Not very hard to understand.

You stated an opinion I disagreed with. Nothing factual about it. I think rhythm and "coming in cold" are things that have been talked about widely about many players, shooters in-particular.

I'll take third option averaging a 17-10 double-double and being an immense outside threat from the 3 point line when you have two elite scorers that thrive driving to the basket. He's also an extremely improved defender when not asked to anchor the entire defense.
He had 3 shots in the last 4 minutes! What are you not getting about that? You don't need to be "in rhythm" to make a wide open layup, especially with the game on the line! And he's an "improved defender" because we got Mozgov. Don't kid yourself. Oh, and he gave up 35 points to Houston's opposing PFs today while not playing any help D at the rim whenever guys like Harden drove so….

You're cherry picking those opposing PF stats, he shot one open three(first shot in 15+ minutes of game time), one contested three, and a lay-up in traffic. Hardly "wide open".

I don't buy this. I think that in this game, Blatt simply didn't do it.

Kevin Love had it going working on the baseline against guys who couldn't guard him. Definitely should have gone back to it.

Honestly, Willard, if he can't do this then he shouldn't be coaching the Cavaliers. I mean, that's his job. That's what he's there for..

Instead, I think he wanted LeBron to go isolation. I don't think he felt going to Kevin Love was the best play, and I don't think he felt Moz should come back in. I have to assume that what we saw is what Blatt and LeBron envisioned; a great deal of isolation play.

But simply calling a play from the bench and having Delly run it should be sufficient to get Love involved.

Unfortunately, without Irving, our offense looked stagnant.

We had some great plays after timeouts, which shows Blatt knows how to create plays (as well as Lue), but we really needed more from Blatt and Lue. This wasn't the time for LeISO.

Weird, because Bosh would play on the elbow and he and LeBron ran a 2-man game all the time. Trust me, it can work.

To me, I've always felt you should get the guys going who need as much assistance as possible first, then let your ISO guys like Irving and James get theirs inbetween.

Fair enough, I just don't think you can get through to Lebron when he goes into LeISO. And I don't think that Dwayne wade the past 3 years is anywhere near the slasher that kyrie is today and it's a different offensive system with different pieces so the fit is different but hopefully it's something he has planned for the playoffs. Lebron with coaches to me is the same as rondo, dominates the ball and wants to call the plays by himself. Let's keep in mind that 10/10 times the cavs would get rid of blatt over Lebron, sole blatt has to tread very lightly just like every coach that Lebron has had.

JR Smith played 50 minutes. The only other player who can take Kyrie's minutes is Shump, who was as awful as Delly today.

You're missing my entire point. When LB is on the floor, it makes Delly absolutely useless. He's smaller and undersized, he's not running the offense at all.

Even if Shump is playing badly, he still gives you more size, athleticism, and speed on the perimeter defensively.

There's no justification Delly playing 42 minutes, and Shump just 24. That's a bad use of your rotation. Delly struggled badly on both sides of the ball.

I'm not blaming anyone in particular on why we got beat, it was just a misuse by Blatt.

First you said he shouldn't be playing more minutes than Love, now you're saying Shump should be getting more minutes, two totally different things.

Delly's minutes have nothing to do with Love's, and him (or even if it was Shump) getting more minutes than Love is understandable because we're missing Kyrie. Maybe Shump should have gotten more minutes, but he wasn't giving us much, got burned multiple times on D.
