Game 62 | Celtics (23-34) @ Cavs (37-24) | March 3rd, 2015 | 7:00pm EST

Let's get the bitching started! Two good minutes of bitch time left in this game!

IF we win by less than 20 that will prove a lot!

Shitty basketball is shitty basketball.

Being pleased with terrific basketball from the starters and thinking the bench plays awful minutes aren't mutually exclusive. A lot of these guys are going to be needed at some point in the playoffs.

Usually what happens when you have a big 3 with big pay checks. You should know that.

Eh. There's not terrible talent there. They just don't play competent basketball.

This has been a really restful and relaxing game thread. Thanks to all.

Boston wins... that Quarter.

Ahaha

Id say next year we wont have this problem with the bench warmers. Should be much improved depending if we hit on our pick.

Yeah, we may need some of these guys, but they won't be in the game as a 5 man unit. Big difference.

Yes but in the playoffs they will be on the court with 3 or 4 teammates who are far superior to them and create openings that they don't see in mop up time like now.

The unit out there right now would never see 1 second of playoff basketball unless the game was already decided.

As they are all role players out there, there was no one guy who was going to take over or equalize the Celtics scrubs. This was guys 8-9-10-11-12 in our rotation, all player together at the same time. It would have been cool if it looked better but it just has no overall bearing on the strength of our bench or how any 1 or 2 of them would contribute in a playoff game when on the floor with some combo of Kyrie, LeBron, Love, Mozgoz, Shump, JR , and Tristan.

And the most important asset we have, Haywood. It wouldn't be surprising to come away with multiple good role players from a Haywood trade.

The MLE, and Haywood us going to nicely shore up this team.

Edit: And duh Andy coming back! If he is healthy, and we make a solid trade, and sign a decent MLE guy, we are going to be super deep as a team.

There isnt a whole lot to say about this one. I did watch this on the Celtics feed because Im in that viewing area, and I dont know if they got rid of Tommy Heinson or what, but the announcers are way less homerish now. Well, lets just say Brian Scalabrine is way less homerish than Tommy Heinson. Though I would have liked to see what they come up with in a game that was decided before halftime.

Their post-game interview was Perkins, the first question they ask was about Lebron, 2nd question was about what he thought about the Cavs and he kept saying "they" then fixing it by saying "we." Hes not quite used to being on the team yet haha. 3rd question was about the Celtics rebuild, basically didnt ask him about anything directly related to him, which he must have thought was a crappy interview. I do think hes going to come in with a decent role to play for a few games in the playoffs, so hopefully we get him up to speed and integrated a bit

Taj Gibson is out. Jimmy Butler is out. Derrick Rose is out.

....and Washington looks like they still won't be beating Chicago.

Heinsohn only does home games. Someone on twitter (big ESPN guy, Stein, iirc) suggested that Heinsohn should be in the broadcast HoF, which would be an injustice to every other broadcaster ever.
