I'm a fan of Blatt's. He does some things that concern me, but overall, I think he's a very good coach. Certainly top 10, in my books, and close to top 5 (and honestly I'd have a hard time listing 5 coaches that I'd rather have than him).

That said, if it takes perfect personnel to get results, all while having the best player in the game on your team. And Kyrie. And Love. That's... concerning.

Now there certainly can be something said for the way LeBron played and led this team at the beginning of the season. For a coach to get past that and get his team to the 2nd seed is pretty impressive.

We can't possibly judge how good he is before the playoffs. The jury is still out on Blatt. I've always felt that until we saw how he coached in a playoff context it's premature to judge how good an NBA coach he really is. We've seen some good things this year and a few not so good things, but the difficulty level, the pressure, and importance of the games is about to take a big jump up.

Steve Kerr ain't resting his players either. Is that smart?
Kyrie's leg acted up on him or whatever the other day. The Heat rested their guys the last few games while LeBron was there. It worked out for the them.

They will play +-20 minutes each ffs.
People paid money to come see the team, it's a home game, the starters need to play.

I'm sure there will be a minutes restriction on the starters tonight and Wednesday. No need to worry. I'd rather have guys play and be in rhythm. Plus, after Wednesday, they will have three to four days off depending on when game one will be played.

All good points. FWIW the Spurs aren't resting their guys either. So there's that.
The Spurs aren't resting because they are trying to earn the #2 seed out west.
Crazy that they were like the 7th seed just last week.

They look so insanely good right now. I fear they may be unbeatable.

Nice final tuneup before the playoffs. The defensive intensity in the first 15 minutes or so was really encouraging. I have faith in Blatt in the staff to make a legitimate run at the title this year.

BTW, here's a fun little stat:

In the last 30 years, the Cavs have made 15 or more three pointers in a game 18 times. 12 of those 18 times have occurred this season.

In the last 30 years, the Cavs have made 12 or more three pointers in a game 73 times. 25 of those 73 times have occurred this season.

Of course, we take a lot more than ever before, but still. :)

The defense was spot on at the first half. Nice rotations and effort.

Blatt also run a new play, with JR running on the baseline, receiving two screens and popping up either for a 3, or if doubled make an entry pass to an open Moz in the paint, which was the option used in the game and ended with a dunk.
It's a set SAS run a lot with Parker running around and Duncan receiving the pass if the defense decides to double parker after the screens.
We ran it perfectly and I was really surprised and happy to see it.
