Browns Adding to Game Day Experience

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I hear lots of people bitching...honestly, I like them a lot. Especially the brown one. Looks really badass.

The white and orange, I mean, they're pretty standard. Changed up, but look fine. The brown I think looks really good.
People were always going to bitch because it's the Browns. People love being miserable and this franchise is an easy target.

If this is the Patriots, people probably slobber over the changes. The "So Cleveland" joke lost its luster about 6 years ago.

Love the changes, these uniforms are clear upgrades and give a much needed modern look to a timeless classic. Let's just all forget the white on orange ever existed and call it a day.

I absolutely love that on the pants. I don't know if any other team has that.

Nearly half of Nike's college programs.....

I like the jerseys-- I think the large "Cleveland" word mark on the front and "Browns" down the side of the pants take away from the professional image a little bit. I don't think anyone will be able to actually read the word "Browns" on the pants and on some of the players only "rowns" was visible, I noticed.

I also think they should've picked either the large word mark or drop shadows on the numbers, not both, one or the other. It's a little busy but Nike....

You guys didn't do so bad...really like the Brown on Brown and Orange on Orange look...Cleveland across the chest is very unique, gotta be the only jerseys like that.

Are you KIDDING me?? Lol If this were the Patriots no one would give a shit because we were the fucking CHAMPS.

Does anyone else find it funny that it says Browns down our leg?

I mean it's cool and all but since when is it ever been good to have anything brown running down you leg?

My friends who are fans of other teams are extremely impressed.

They specifically point out "Cleveland" on the jersey and "Browns" down the pant leg as the coolest and most unique parts. I tend to agree actually.

The orange numbers on the brown jersey really threw my eyes for a loop at first but it's growing on me the more I look at it. It's a menacing look to offset our lame, "inviting" orange. :chuckle:

I think even though the whole function was cheesy, its a plus for the Browns. Sure the players are paid but they seemed excited to wear jerseys that aren't at least 30 to 40 years old. The main thing is that we are starting a trend with Cleveland in the front and the Browns on the pants. I really like the pants when they showed a closeup.

Sucks that the nfl only allow you to wear a third option twice. Sounds like we wont be seeing very much of the orange tops at all.

The brown jersey is really growing on me. Might have to upgrade my Haden jersey.

I do think that the Browns have one of the best uniforms in the league. Huge upgrade overall.

I really like brown on brown. That's pretty sharp. White on brown as well as brown on orange are also very good.

White on orange is my least favorite.

I liked your post, but I'd imagine if the Browns weren't so wholly incompetent as a franchise over the last few years they wouldn't need this drastic re-branding campaign in the first place.

....Like the Patriots did back in the early 2000s.

FWIW, I was sent three photos of each of the jerseys (I think the fan versions). They were generally similar to what's above. I did not see anything other than the tops.

- The shoulder stripes on the white jersey have a brown outline (like the helmet) with orange in the middle.
- Numbers on the brown jersey are orange, on both the shoulder and the front, same with the white (as you see it above).
- The shadowing of the numbers is prevalent.
- "Cleveland" is written in orange on the Brown jersey, brown on the white jersey and white on the orange jersey.

Edit:

The Browns did a "chronicling" of the jersey from past to present. You'll notice that a lot of the photos have the stripes down the arm, horizontally aligned, not on the shoulder. Could help explain why the striping is horizontal on these new ones.

Guess this was right. I'm shocked at how some of us got the photos so early.

Any examples? I can't remember ever seeing it on a uniform like that.

On a side note, people who were complaining about the number shadowing being a deterrent for jersey visibility on TV were shallow-sighted.. The "shadowing" they did on these uni's will actually help the numbers pop (i.e. white shadowing on the Brown jersey)..
