Browns Adding to Game Day Experience

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
After seeing them all, I'd still give them a C+.

For me, they're just slightly above average. I like some of the combinations, dislike others. Most fall somewhere in the middle.

If they removed the white drop shadow on the brown jersey and ditched the Browns from the pants, they'd be far more tolerable. Those two things are eyesores for me.

Overall, these remind me more of some no name college program than an NFL team. Has nothing to do with bitching to bitch, I just don't dig most of the esthetic. I'm sure they'll grow on me but I'm still just "meh".

Any examples? I can't remember ever seeing it on a uniform like that

@NorthCoastBias so, it's us and Oregon? I appreciate you finding it, but I feel like Oregon will do and has done just about anything.. They're Nike's testing grounds.

I'm trying to dispel the notion that the Browns down the leg isn't unique, although it is in the NFL for certain.

Unique doesn't always mean an upgrade.

Notice the Oregon pants that do it have a smaller font and no stripes. That looks far better to me, being more subtle.

The "Browns" on the pants is huge.....it was so startling when I first saw it and still is. It extends over 2/3 of the length of the pants. It looks like a pair of cheap sweatpants you'd see at a fan shop.

Would it be a bad thing if the Browns followed Nike's lead like Oregon has?

They've got a pretty good idea on how to make a team popular.

I really hated the brown jersey/brown pants/brown socks combo they used with the old jerseys the last couple of years, but the orange numbers and socks actually makes the brown on brown look really good.

No no no.. That's not what I'm saying or implying at all. I think it's pretty cool how Nike handles Oregon's unis; it serves as (small) incentive for a kid to pick that school. They also happen to look very cool 90% of the time.

I initially felt like the "Browns" down the stripe was very cool. I also thought it was very unique. A poster in here said something along the lines of "half of college football teams have the name down the pants". I was trying to find out if it's true or not, to which NCB posted the Oregon photos. I still think it's an original concept for the NFL, which is something I appreciate and wanted with this re-design.

If Shawesome makes the roster I'll consider purchasing an orange jersey for him.

I liked your post, but I'd imagine if the Browns weren't so wholly incompetent as a franchise over the last few years they wouldn't need this drastic re-branding campaign in the first place.

....Like the Patriots did back in the early 2000s.
Won't disagree with that. It's very much up to the team/FO to regain confidence and support.

That said, people playing devil's advocate and saying they "hate" a uniform design just "because, Browns. LOL" have bigger issues, IMO.
