I honestly have no idea how Boston won 40 games. I guess playing in the worst division in basketball has its upsides.
They're small and they don't shoot well. They play hard and they play fast. None of their guards are efficient scorers or shooters, and none of their big men are good rebounders. They move the ball around and play solid, if unspectacular, defense.
With the game slowing down to playoff pace, I just don't see how Boston can score enough to keep up with the Cavs. On the year they needed 3.5 more possessions per game to score 2 fewer points.
Boston was 12-27 against teams .500 or better this season. They were 12-4 against their division.
I don't like to predict sweeps, but I think Boston is going to struggle to score against the Cavs in these slow games, which probably spells doom for the Celts. Cavs control the paint on both ends, shoot decent from three, and don't turn the ball over a ton and 4-0 should happen.
