I just watched that happen and I cant believe that happened and he hasnt been ejected or KILLED by a Cav player.

I have a pretty high level of respect for the way Brad Stevens coaches and commands his team. Like, I almost expect him to address that in the next day or two and apologize or say something to the effect that he doesnt condone that.

If there's even a hint of re-injury, or there are serious long-term ramifications from another dislocation, don't let him play. He'll want to play, but it's more important making sure he's healthy for the rest of his career.

Reminds me of when Wade pulled that takedown on Rondo, and nothing happened.

Officials didn't even bother to review the obvious dirty play, and he still plays! Blatt refuses to retaliate. I now expect Boston, without any consequence and now being rewarded for dirty plays, to have a play designed to end LeBron's season.

I hope the NBA likes the ratings that will follow with weaker teams being allowed to advance with dirty plays knocking out star players, without consequence.

It's important to keep in mind that the NBA playoffs are long as hell. If the Cavaliers can gut through this weak Eastern Conference without him a few weeks he should bounce back for meaningful games, perhaps the ECF.

The problem is (coming from a guy that has dislocated his shoulder playing bball) Even if we somehow get past CHI and give him 3-4 weeks to rehab and make it back - he will not be the same.

It is super hard to trust it mentally after it pops out like that, the surrounding muscles and ligaments are stretched and weak and it will have "mini" pop outs constantly, which further makes you scared to do anything above your head.

Took me a solid 4 months of rehab before it felt passable, even though I was playing again in 3.5 weeks. All in all, he probably wont feel right again until next year. His game relies on his positioning and using his arms to hold people back while rebounding. Absolutely no way he will be able to do that on his left side when he comes back.

Of all people...

Really olyny should be undercut on a layup. That's bs. He just changed the dynamics of the playoffs. Cavs don't beat the bulls without love

Just an FYI Olynyk is at the shoe in the poker room every time the Cs are in town. Ran into him 3 times this year alone. We can Nancy Kerrigan him next year.

1) you are not a professional athlete.

2) we do not yet know the severity of the injury.

I read online there could get be ligament damage when a shoulder is dislocated or gets popped out. Let's hope that did not happen.

I feel sad for Cleveland fans. This team with love was one of the most beautiful teams I've seen. So many three pointers, so much versatility. It sucks all this gets changed by a garbage player on a sub par team. The bulls must be partying. Love is the key to the matchup with them. Without him I'm afraid that the bulls front line will dominate like they did in the only game they won against the cavs this year, which love was out kn .

Again, we do not yet know the severity of the injury

You are right I'm not. And we don't know what the injury was. However, seeing it, seeing his reaction, and having the exact same thing happen to me leads me to believe I have a decent idea what is going on.

If he comes back and it was just a strain that would be phenomenal.

Being a professional athlete doesn't make them heal faster. Sure hes going to have top of the notch rehab while mine was probably standard but if you do any research on the injury at all it takes a ton of time to strengthen the stretched / torn ligaments to the point where you can even remotely trust the stability of the joint.

One anecdotal story when I came back I was solo jumping for a rebound the kind where you swing your arms up as you jump. My shoulder popped back out just on the motion of swinging my arms up. It immediately returns but it is painful and it really really makes it hard for you to trust anything on that side of your body.
