I want to read intelligent posting, not folks telling others not to share their thoughts and not to discuss; especially when they have experience with a very similar injury.

People disagreeing with Zen's post, telling him to basically be quiet, etc, is absurd. Every one of his posts has been more worth reading than half the shit in here today.

There is no irony because I don't complain when people hit the disagree button like you do ad-nauseum like it matters one iota. It happens.

And it's fine for people to share their experiences but to act as if it's just some laughing matter because people are a disagreeing with him projecting his injury as if it's the exact injury Love had is completely fair. For the record, I don't necessarily disagree with him, but I do understand why people don't want to hear about his injury and how it relates to Kevin Love. Every last person here knows the potential severity to it.

And "disagreeing" isn't telling him to be quiet. It's a disagreement. Something you can never handle.
 
My nephew tore his AC ligament when he dislocated his shoulder. The team doctor diagnosed it within minutes. The team doctor is an orthopedic surgeon, however.
 
Looking forward to hearing all of our members experiences with shoulder injuries

That would help me and my shoulder doctor neighbor deliberate and figure out how long he'll be out for

Apples to oranges. There are a lot of factors that go into a shoulder dislocation, stretching, tearing of labrum and different degrees of damage for each. Some things can be instantly diagnosed but usually they wont say shit until a scan is done.

ACL / MCL diagnoses as you point out can be pretty quick if its completely torn as there is no stabilization and it basically just buckles during the test.

Because the rim of the shoulder socket is soft tissue, x-rays will not show damage to it. The doctor may order a computed tomography (CT) scan or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan. In both instances, a contrast medium may be injected to help detect tears. Ultimately, however, the diagnosis will be made with arthroscopic surgery.
 
If the shoulder dislocation is without any ligament injury, he can be ok in 2 weeks!

Yeah, typically a catastrophic injury can be diagnosed right away. For more more mild injuries you have to wait for an MRI.

I'm assuming they popped it back in, did some stability tests, they checked out for major damage and they iced him. Thus the "he'll be re-evaluated in Cleveland".

There is so much time in between series that I can't imagine it is gamesmanship. If it was major, I'm sure we would have heard about it already or will hear about it very soon.
 
Dislocated shoulder per FSO

Hopefully, wishfully, its nothing more than a 2 week window. Everyone's body is different.

If he's not totally ready for game 1 vs Bulls then rest him until game 3, he'll have about a 2 week rest.
 
Last year's NBA Finals started June 5th. Today is April 26th? I know it feels like his season has to be over, but really... the NBA playoffs are insanely long. No reason jumping to conclusions today.
 
I was literally just thinking to myself last night that all we have to do is stay healthy and I feel pretty good about our chances. Then this happens....

If we can beat the Bulls in a couple games (or whole series if necessary) without Love, that would be huge for our confidence going forward. Losing JR wouldn't have been that big of deal had Love not got hurt, but it makes that suspension way worse now since we are already down.
