The reaction from everyone else was hilarious. "What the hell is this guy saying right now?"
He literally said "Thompson is their only big off the bench, what are they going to do now"
Kenny: "Perkins is still there"
Charles:"But now they don't have a scorer"
So I believe he was implying TT is our bench scorer.
For sure, fully healthy, we'll have and incredibly deep bench next year. But I think Shumpert starts next year and possibly the rest of the playoffs this year. The plan was always for him to start but the combo of his injury lingering from the trade and how JR sparked us for a while on O caused us to roll what was working at the time. But having that athletic wing defender to help set the tone defensively from the get go is the way to go and Shumpert can hit enough threes to not cause the floor to shrink.
