2015 NBA Playoffs Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I don't even know why we're still on the "LeBron is the best player in the league" train. He wasn't the best player in the regular season and he hasn't been the best player in the playoffs. What exactly makes him the best player in the league still?

I thought I was going crazy. Glad to see someone else agrees with me. Curry played better than him all season and is outplaying him in the postseason as well.

Cavs defense is better than these 2 teams. I'm just scared of Curry going apeshit, but every other player can be contained and some. Bogut is still due to get injured, I swear this has been his best season health wise. He was a man down low, Mozzy will match it though.

I mean, it really really isn't. We've yet to play a great offensive player in the playoffs. The best offensive player we've seen is Jimmy Butler. Harden and Curry are on totally different levels.

Houston will win the next two at home....

Right now, yeah, it's Anthony Davis. Durant wasn't the same guy this year obviously due to injury. He's not even as good as Seth, right now.

How can you judge Durant this year? He only played 27 games and most of those were through injury.

I really don't think that's an intellectually fair argument.

Taking Durant from where he left off; Anthony Davis and Steph Curry are not anywhere near as good. They might be some day, but they are not as good today as Durant was when he was 25 years old.

Durant's not even in his prime yet. He'll be 27 next season.

If we are talking about Durant at his best, it's pretty debatable.

We're talking about Durant's last healthy season, not necessarily at his best -- just his last season playing healthy, which is last season. It's not remotely debatable.

Davis is coming off the second best PER in the history of basketball though.

That says more about how PER is calculated than it does about Davis vs Durant.

Davis is a fucking animal. Going forward, it's not even close who I'd rather have between the two.

Me either...

We are talking right now, not all-time here. Durant might never be the same, that injury of his is pretty significant.

That may be, I think that's undeniable. My only point is that you can't say Davis is "better" than an unknown. We don't know if Durant comes back healthy or not; so instead, we should compare Davis and Steph to Durant's previous season, and in doing so, they are not better than he is/was.

If he comes back a different player due to his ailing foot injuries then we can reevaluate the situation, but to do so now is very premature.

Not talking Durant off his MVP season, since that's moot.

Wtf? That was just last year.. Lol... That's his last healthy season.

If you're talking about a guy who basically missed the season and only played 27 unhealthy games, I dunno what to tell you - that's just a really odd way to measure someone like Durant. I'd only think to do this if my intention was to deliberate undervalue him.

I can see it happening, Warriors win the best of 3 after that most likely. But I'm dying to see LeBron vs Curry for all the marbles, especially for the people that are saying Curry is better. Gotta shut them up.

P.S. Curry moving his pivot 4 times in that trap... So, we're just going to ignore that? Or...

Ladies and Gentlemen - I present to you a NINE-STEP travel, by our very own Kendrick Perkins!

When you are having your worst shooting in the playoffs in years...

and still putting up 27/10/8 in the playoffs with very good defense. You're the best player in the NBA.

Everyone could tell that in his bid for his 5th NBA finals LeBron was in chill mode (also because of the injuries) until January. He's been the best player since.

Curry is awesome.

LeBron is still better....for now.

No need to explain yourself bro, especially on behalf of King James. People are so trendy nowadays. Chef Curry is a trend, but LeBron is still the best in the world.

The point is, Gour, we're talking about second best player, as in today, NOT YESTERDAY!

To think right now, Durant is the second best player in the NBA is ludicrous. When the ESPN polls come around, despite what people think of them, I guarantee he's not listed as the second best. He won't even be listed as the third.

You don't get rewarded on what you did over a year ago.

And even when healthy, to think Davis is no where near him is absolutely nutso. Come on, now. Don't be silly Gour.

As I just posted. LeBron is a "found jump shot" from this not even being a discussion.

I'm watching James Harden put up 33/10/9 this series against the Warriors.

If LeBron ever finds his jump shot he'll dominate the Warriors. People forget when both teams were healthy he put 42/11/5 against them.

Who the fuck spoiled that again...that was absurd. Ruined SoA...
