Although I gotta say for the last few years, the best part of Free Agency has been watching DAL, LAL, and NYK walk away with nothing but wood only to do the same dance the following year.

So what did ATL give up to take on Splitter?

Picks?. No contracts needed since they had Capspace

Our path to the top of the East just got easier. Our quest for a title just got more difficult.

But Jesus, would you fucks relax? A Splitter trade was not our only option nor was it even on the table for us (per reports).

There are 29 other teams. I'm sure they would all love to shed 10+ million in cap for the right deal.

Pat Riley is not going to trade with this franchise for the rest of his career. Why would Miami be a consideration?

Looking at the Spurs finances, it still doesn't add up to me.

They currently have 7 guys under contract at 24 million.

Green - 11 million
Aldridge - 20 million

That puts them at 55 million with 9 players under contract.

They still have Duncan, Joseph and Ginobili to make decisions on and only 12-14 million left.

Marco Belinelli is gone and two of the seven guys they have under contract (Williams, Anderson) are relatively useless.

If they lose Joseph or Ginobili retires, that is a short rotation. They'll find a few vets willing to go there but man, it is a gamble. LMA is an upgrade but they don't have much wiggle room.

Now altanta lost carrol, milsap next. Ferry is laughing his ass off and I dont blame him.
