Did we trade Haywood's contract yet?

I would be really surprised if Stuckey lasted long enough in free agency where he is willing to accept an MMLE deal.

I wouldn't complain at all. I would just be surprised, considering the various teams that are going to lose out on top targets.

Anyone have any clue when we could expect the Cavs to make another roster move? Windy predicted on Wednesday that we could see Haywood traded within 48 hours, and now this report on sticker...I'd like to see us secure someone that wasn't on our roster last year to put our squad over the top in terms of depth

I don't. Not sure why people like him so much. I want someone we can count on in the playoffs. Plus, I hate how he reacts to things during the game when something doesn't go right.

If we move him back to being a supporting piece and not a #2 or at times #1 offensive guy we'll be fine. Not having 2 of our all-stars hurt a lot of guy's value.

I'm more interested in seeing what they will do with Haywood's contract, then they'll see what they want to do with JR.

The dude in the starting lineup is essentially a cheaper, better defending version of Kyle Korver. When you have your stars it's all about fit and being in the starting lineup with the Big 3, allows JR to do what he does best shoot from range and he doesn't touch the ball enough to get into his bad habits. How we forgot how awesome our healthy starting 5 was last year.

Gary Neal to Washington for 1-year, $2.1 million. That's probably a good sign for us, because Washington was possible competition for Stuckey. BTW, it's been reported that Stuckey prefers to play a key bench role for a top contending team. So IMO the MMLE is very much a possibilty.

The crazy thing is a mmle really costs Gilbert over 15 million. Contract x 4 of luxury tax. We do have the best owner! No one else does that.

Also, should be noted that Washington is likely to sign David West to the MLE (unless the Spurs don't get Aldridge, in which case West would go to SA). They have done a nice job acquiring Dudley, Neal and possibly West after losing Pierce. They also drafted Oubre. Can they be a front-runner for the toughest East competition for the Cavs?

Looks like LMA will be the final piece to fall, though he might take all weekend.

Overall the mid tier and lower tier market is starting to move and once LMA decides we should be able to weigh all the Haywood offers and make our call.

Wow, all the hate Dallas was getting, they've actually improved their roster.

Matthews > Ellis
Jordan > Chandler

Achilles tear, so probably not anymore.

And I do think Jordan is going to regret this decision. He's gonna miss Paul and Griffin waaay more than he thinks.
