Anyone know how Wright is on the defensive end?

This is from when he was on the Warriors:
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...rriors-two-reasons-their-defense-has-improved

till, Jackson is playing Wright more than 30 minutes per game. The only players to get more burn than him are Monta Ellis and David Lee. As noted, it isn’t because of his scoring but because he is giving effort on defense, making the right rotations and closing out on shooters.
In the case of Dorell Wright, Coach Jackson has made a statement that the ability to play tough perimeter defense will be rewarded more so than the ability to leak out for fast break layups, and the players have responded.

I'd take Butler over Wright. He has shot a better clip overall and from 3 the past 3 seasons. He also has a bigger body and I think he'd do better than Wright if he was asked to try guarding a PF every now and then.

Absolutely awful?

He had a moderately positive OBPM, DBPM and VORP this past season and a DRTG of 102.

He shot 38% on catch and shoot 3's (2 per game), had a 53.5% TS and was 29th among SF in RPM (top 33%).

He's played 12-15 minutes per game in the regular season on a Western Conference playoff team for two years and he's only 29.

Given our other options, he would be a nice addition.
I wouldn't say a nice addition but definitely wouldn't be a bad addition if that makes sense

Wright is younger and that's what we need. Also, Wright we be playing as we use Jones.

i've been beating the drum for a while, but I'll do it one more time, I'd love for us to get Darrell Arthur. Did you realize he is 3rd in DRPM among PFs?
http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/rpm/_/sort/DRPM/position/6

His 3 isn't great -- 24% -- but as a 5th big you can live with that because he shot 2/gm and so he has that range. also 78% FT shooter. he's 27 and 6'9" 235.

While not amazing his rim protect was 50.5% which is better than Love, TT or Wild thing

And he plays with high energy and is allegedly a high character guy.

EDIT -2.1% in DFG%, much of it in around the key (-.8 >15', -.1 <6')

But would he come for vet min? The answer is probably no. Now if only Mo would of signed for vet min then we'd have the MMLE still.

You guys do realize Dorrell Wright has been absolutely awful the past 2 seasons, right?

You'd rather we let the Haywood contract expire, or get some TPE or some useless shit like we always do with our expiring contracts that are hyped up as big trade chips, instead of getting a decent role player?

Hmm.

We will most likely sign Prince or Butler for vets minimum.

* had signed, there is no such thing as would of.
Mo is worth more than 1.4m and his deal is a bargain, of course it would have been better, like most things.
