I figured I'd start a thread to discuss today's events..

Griffin was just talking about how we shouldn't read too much into certain guys not playing much if at all in the preseason, basically saying we are playing the long game and will be utilizing our depth as much as possible.

A follow up question I wish someone would ask is how important is it to the organization to chase the overall best record, or is that not a goal. I think the answer to that could be interesting.

Have questions regarding Tristan been asked?
 
Griffin won't say anything useful about Tristan, not surprised..all he said was we want Tristan to be a part of our future going forward and he wants to be a teammate of these guys. Also wouldn't say if he thought a long term deal would be struck prior to Thursday.

Also won't give timelines for full returns for any of our injured players. Also not surprised.
 
David reluctantly addressing questions regarding what he learned last year, etc.. says he's hoping these types of questions go away over the season. Just wants to coach basketball and not answer personal type questions like that for much longer.
 
A more direct question regarding any complications or awkwardness of dealing with Rich Paul and his relationship with LeBron. Griffin dodged that one and just praised Gilbert for being willing to pay whatever it takes.

I've counted David Blatt saying "umm", more than five times today. Yup, it is basketball season.
