Game 15: Cleveland (11-3) at Toronto (9-6)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What didn't you understand with my post? This game could of been won with the proper fucking rotations.

There's ABSOLUTELY no fucking reason LeBron and Love should sit together on the bench with that horrendous LU toted out there.

Blatt is to blame.

Kind of hard to keep at least one of them in the game with 4 key players out? Unless you think we should be playing Joe Harris and Sasha meaningful minutes?

I refuse to get worked up about this game.
We are missing too many players for it to have any real meaning, whatever the outcome is. Literally no lineup on the floor was any lineup that will be used two months from now. We started Cunningham ffs.

People getting their knickers in a twist about this are hilarious to me.

What bugs me most are the lineups Blatt put out there. And when he saw they didn't work, he still kept going to them. Also, Casey called out the refs and they started blowing whistles in Toronto's favour. I wouldn't say this was on Blatt, but I think there are things he needs to do for our team to get more respect. Because at this point, it just feels like our guys are going to get injured with the way other teams are allowed to defend us.

My knee-jerk desire to get pissed is placated when I realize that the Raptors are a perennial first round exit. Let Lowry, who will inexplicably get an All-Star nod despite not being on anybody's short list for league's best PGs, pump his chest as he waltzes to the line for his umpteenth free throw. And let the Toronto crowd put faith in Dwayne Casey and their motley crew. They're regular season fodder and playoff chow for the big dogs.

Btw, the Heat got obliterated by the Pistons :chuckle:

Blatt needs to come to some conclusions. Are we playing to win or are we concerned about rest? If it's the former, stop fucking up the rotations and putting us in a hole. If it's the latter, stop playing LeBron so much.

I'm tired of losing games to mediocre teams while our effort is shit and LeBron is logging 40 minutes. Make a decision coach.

Not only have the rotations been trash, but LeBron has had to play the entire 4th

It's not that difficult. There's only 48 minutes in a game... Lebron's playing 36 minutes a game, that's 12 minutes to get Love on the court.

So people are just not going to acknowledge the fact that we have 3 starters, and one key bench player out. Or how having such a big chunk of the rotation out makes it hard to win games against good teams on the road ? No okay :9:

Let's look for something to panic about instead to show how smart we are instead.
WE EXPECT TOTAL DOMINATION OF THE LEAGUE AND NOTHING LESS. If you expect any less...GTFO.

Just to keep it in perspective - we finished the 3rd down 2 with the "horrible" lineup without Love and James, and lost by 4 with Love and James playing the entire 4th quarter.

Am I confident we won't have any injuries at all? IDK

Am I confident we won't have the majority of our starting lineup + a key backup all out at the same time? Yeah I'm pretty sure.
Uhh...one more injured starter and we would have been there last year in the Finals. Plus, Shump was technically playing with an injury. I wouldn't underestimate how injury prone this roster is. We've got to learn to fight through them.

If you're going to point that out, you need to also point out the lead prior to the "horrible" lineup going in

The only way we should be worried, is if Mo is the long-term starter for this team. If that's the case, then yes, we are fucked.

With them they went down 10, before JR's meaningless 3s.

That wasn't the problem.

How is it hard? Rotate their asses out at separate times. There's no reason for them both to be out. I can't take another Cunningham, JR, RJ, Jones, and Andy. It just doesn't work.

No one is upset we lost, but the lack of effort on defense pissed me off

Did you miss when LeBron/Love came out up 5 at the end of the third just prior to that? And the lead was gone in seconds?

Have you watched any of the last 10 games?

You can't point a finger at Mo? Him getting beat almost every time down the floor screwed up all of our rotations. Lowry got past Mo at the end and Love had to commit to stopping Lowry. Lowry missed the shot, but Love was then out of position for the rebound. Biombo got the board and the and-1.

I think a lot of our guys were bad tonight on defense. But to not give blame to Mo is absurd, in my opinion.
I give blame to guys when I know they're capable of more. We know Mo is a shitty defender. Always has been and always will be. Guys get past him because he doesn't have the length or quickness to stop them. That's why he's not meant for the starting role, and is instead a nice offensive punch off the bench.

So no I don't blame him because I saw he was at least trying. He can't help that he sucks. With Tristan and Love, while they're not great defenders either, time and time again they showed no effort in contesting shots at the rim, they constantly lost their men, and they gave up offensive rebound after offensive rebound down the stretch. That's why I blame them.

Yes, 3 point lead before James sat down.

With James and Love in, the team went down 10 before JR shot two meaningless 3s in the last seconds.
