looked three times, nothing there yet
How in Christ's name did the Warriors even beat me out for a playoff spot. They weren't even tryingDays of Future Dominance
(1 trade, 1 FA in 4 yrs - FA Booker $13M/yr) = It's the Farm System!
Wow I made the Finals! I think I might have done an OK job picking a team with growth and that's without my super secret plansDays of Future Dominance

It's kinda quiet on here so and I'm really trying to procrastinate so I'm going to make a couple observations...
One -> Don't trust the ratings. Your scouting is very fallible - your margin of error is probably +/-3.5 pts. So that 55 could just as easily be a 51 or 58. Your really should watch your PER. BUT.... PER doesn't capture D very well. It's probably useful to check your +/- (as much as it pains me to say it) for a better read on the D players. As near as I can tell D is about athleticism (str, spd, jump, etc.) and something you can't see. No defensive awareness fudge....
Two-> Someone asked about tanking suggesting it would be painless. While I think we're all playing in the same size city and media market, that's only to start. You can pick up or drive down your fanbase's interest through the season. their interest will seed you with cash to pay for FA. You lose, you will see your coffers shrink, and it will take a while to build the fanbase up. They are VERY fickle about prices in my exp. You can't just pump up the ticket price unless you're already selling everything out and have been for a while. Then you have enough pent up demand to survive a (I don't know the corollary since this league has such a higher cap, but ... ) $5 increase in ticket prices without losing any attendance. But if you're at say, 15K, you might actually want to drop your price for a while to build demand then raise it a couple times while your team is winning. At least early on. If you build enough of a legacy, there becomes a sturdier demand it would seem. The guy -- a biologist iirc -- made a pretty sophisticated simulation...

I get from that statistical breakdown that Tobias Harris is way over paid.Still haven't done that, but I did have a good year that year....
