We need a big to play the rest of the season -- Sanders actually makes a lot of sense, he will get a lot of time here (good for his contract prospects in the offseason), and we have a guy who can be on the bench in the playoffs and give us a dimension we don't have.

If it's a loose body, he should be good to go once he is back -- needs to make sure the shooting stroke stays good -- but he can probably start shooting in a month or less...

This is bad news - but not the end of the world...

Chronic back issues, limping on the court looking in pain, now the knees, its looking like his body is starting to break down prematurely unfortunately.

So what do we do? Do we trade him now for the best possible deal or do we put our faith in him that he'll be back in 6 weeks and can stay healthy? Hes a terrible match up against GS either way and I think most can agree on that, tough situation I'm not sure whats the right thing to do here.

Give me Melo and O'quin and I'll enjoy this guaranteed 3-4 year window of championships.

I'm about done with Love, great player, but he's a roll of the dice, and crap outs are always possible. He's had injuries his entire career to this date, so nobody don't tell me the rest of his contract will be fine and dandy.

I'd need more than that..

Melo could be done in two years.

Love's value shrinks considering he's injury proned. We won't be getting a godfather deal for him now. (If we choose to trade him)

I think you guys overrate Kevin Love's trade value. Other teams can see that he's injury prone too. He missed most of a season because of a broken hand from doing knuckle pushups...missed most of a playoff run because of a shoulder injury...has had seemingly chronic back problems for the last three years...and now needs knee surgery.

Larry Sanders, come on down?

just have the team healthy for the playoffs....

His value is definitely overrated by some here. But at the same time, he is worth more than just Melo. More needs to come along with Melo for the Cavs to move him to New York, or to where ever he may go.

I don't think they trade him. I think they talk about it, but they end up saying no to it.

But I do agree, the value of Love is overrated. Mainly because of those injuries, and how he's 27-28 years old and he's having all these back and knee issues.

Sent from my Galaxy Edge. Don't forget that the Golden State Warriors blew a 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals.

I'll take Melo and Hermangomez for Love and Shump. They can keep their draft pick too. The King gets his wish.

I can assure the Knicks that Love will be all good for 17-18. No worries!

People can't just be "healthy" for the playoffs, they have to be peaking for the playoffs. For Love in particular we know that we can only afford to have him on the court if he is putting 110% effort into defense and can use whatever lateral mobility he has. Will he be in that kind of shape again by playoff time?

The timing of it scares me.

Also Love playing well in the early rounds last playoffs extended LeBron's energy to close in the finals.
Without Kevin Love in 2015 he eventually broke down in the finals.

Ibaka to the Raptors for Terrence Ross...belongs in trade threads but since Ibaka has been discussed here...

Does improve Toronto.

Alright not great but not the worst.

Derrick Williams, your time to shine kid.
Yep. He's got a great shot here..

Also I'm sure LeBron is reminding the front office they should have signed Michael Beasley as we speak, lol.
