What's the saying? To win you have to be able to get to the QB with 4 and protect with 5?
Our OL is sick on paper (give them 4 games to gel), our DC is crazy, and we've just added a phenomenal athlete and great person to become the cornerstone of our franchise.
This was his response to Sapp's criticism:
“I’m here to play ball. Talk is cheap, you can say what you want after I put some pads on and put some film out there with the pros. But until then, nothing I say really matters and nothing he says really matters until I get out there and play the best out there.”
This is the type of player that I love. Isn't obsessed with social media, quirky dude comfortable in his own skin (at a very young age), not image or party obsessed, loves football, loves his family, works hard as fuck, played in the "meaningless" bowl game for his brothers, and did his unnecessary pro day workout (high risk, marginal reward), not to mention his multi-year record of on-the-field success and his off-the-charts measurables.
Rookie year predictions:
@AZ_ said 10 sacks, which would be an epic start (sorted by DE position), the sack leader last year had 12.5 sacks - Danielle Hunter).
The NFL adjusts so quickly tho, which is great because as he develops as a threat, then Ogbah will get free and really Nassib has a chance at a great year. If the defense is chaotic and likes to gamble, which I anticipate, we're certainly going to move up from 2nd last in the league for sacks (26). To give you some context, Arizona led the league with 48(!) and the top 10 had 38.
I feel like Garrett is not fucking around and this year, if you aren't ready to play and execute on Sunday against the Browns, we're going to beat you.
