How would Porzingis be against Golden State?

Im concerned that maybe a traditional center cannot stay on the floor against GS' small ball lineup that they tend to play predominantly in the finals.

Porzingis isn't a C...he has played PF his whole career... He is plant enough agile to guard Green... He guards the Greek Freak when they play Mil...he would probably be able to guard KD in certain situations or at least cause him to take more jumpers than he did in the Finals

Thank you for asking the question on my mind !!! I look at folks like Channing Frye and TT, who have had an impact on our playoff run but vs Golden State were just bench riders or were ineffective. Wont Porzingis be on the same boat as these guys ?

He is way more athletic than Frye and TT has played well except this year... Neither of those players are anything like Porzingis so the comparison isn't really there

I got irving winning this battle of the shade 2-0. The "I will beat Irving's @$$ on sight" stuff from James was pretty damn funny though. Had me laughing for a week.

Hopefully we get a decent deal out of him.

There is a difference between high school shade, and college shade.

Bron started this cryptic nonsense, Irving is finishing it, that is for damn sure. That stung me, and I am not Lebron James. Everywhere this guy goes it is drama man.

If it was not for his weak no trade clause

http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yad2o932

Trade Irving as-well obviously.

James actually has pretty low trade value. I don't think the Pelicans would trade Davis for James under any circumstance, trade clause aside. I don't think Thunder trade Westbrook for James under any circumstance, Spurs will never, ever trade Kawhi for James, period. This may shock some people, if James were to be traded, the most you could get is something similar to PG-13, unless he made it known were he wants to go which he never does.

Bron is not loyal, and it hurts his value. He is also old. You never get equal value for trades anymore. Trade Irving for what you can get.

How did this Troll escape ? I thought they were all trapped in Netflix in that awful Trolls movie - which one of you released him ?

You don't think that being mocked by Curry, with a whole crew of guys, including Kyrie, laughing along is going to tick LeBron off and motivate him to even more than he already was?!?

LeBron doesn't have a team with 4 All-Stars that can all defend pass and shoot, Him being ticked off and motivated really doesn't mean anything, unless they get a severe injury they'll still spank every single team in the league including us with a ticked off LeBron.

His whole career aka 2 years. He will be a center once he adds more weight. He's the ideal modern day center. The knicks looked much better when he's at center. It opens up the offense and lets him stay down low to block shots and switch when he needs to.

If Lebron is offended by a video of a player mocking a goofy dance he was doing he has a lot of growing up to do. Besides if you hashtag #lebronchallenge a lot of people doing the same dance

Sounds possible, but Iggy is a bench player, Porzingis will be a starter and needs to guard one. I am a worried about his post game. Maybe he gets better? Letting go of Kyrie means we are letting of a person who is capable of scoring and creating shots. Porzingis is not 1B yet and i dont see that changing anytime soon.

Although after seeing Kyrie celebrating with Steph Curry who was mocking LeBron - I am angry enough to trade him for a bag of chips so KP would be a major upgrade. I am glad i am not the GM !

See, if we get Porzingis, we would have to trade Love.

I love Kev but he kinda becomes redundant against the Warriors then.

We would have to completely re-tool our roster. Trade Love for a wing like Middleton + a PG like Brogdon. Now if we had got PG for Love, that would have set us up perfectly. PG could have been the 1B option with Porzingis the third option.

Anyway, its a pipe dream. No way in hell do Knicks trade Porzingis imo.

You bring up another issue then...if Porzingis is a PF, then who gets benched? Love?

OR will someone move to C?

Either way, is Porzingis going to be able to score with authority against someone like Green, or is Green going to "son" him like he does with all our PFs and Cs.

I want to see someone take it to Donkeyface with authority and not be phased by his physical play...which almost makes me want Cousins more for this reason alone.

Oh I agree with you 100%.. He as a Center is a teams dream...he would give the Cavs 4 floor spacers on offense while providing the best rim protection the Cavs have ever had with LBJ on the roster...and whoever guards him will always be smaller or slower and in some cases both ... He at C is the ultimate mismatch .. He also has the time and ability to develop a very good post game and is already bright enough to make good decisions out of the double team

In all honesty, why should these guys be loyal? I mean, I know loyalty sounds good but it is not like teams are loyal to players in reality. If a player can be traded for an upgrade of the team they do it. Is that loyalty? The second guy starts to fade and ability, fans are ready to kick into the curb. Is that loyalty? I completely understand why LeBron does it the way he does. It makes sense and is smart for him.

I agree that he will be ticked off. I don't know if I buy this whole motivation thing. It's not like he's going to come out and play better because of that. I imagine he will play very well anyway

I start Love and Porzingis... NY used him at C on occasion with a small ball lineup which is funny to say for a guy who is 7'3.. But Green would be physical with Porzingis but with an 8 inch height advantage there isn't much else Green could do to alter his shot other than grab his dick which as we all know is a possibility when talking about Green... TT would go to 6th man ..who knows if he would be OK with that but who cares really

Nice edit lol

So, I think the Suns end up making the most sense as a trade partner for the Cavs with a currently capable PG in Bledsoe and a defensively talented, high upside wing in Jackson.

But the Sixers could really be a surprise option here. What if they decided to trade Fultz to land Kyrie and speed up their process? Kyrie, Simmons, and Embiid would be their big 3, with Kyrie still young enough to have a long window of opportunity.

Cavs would either make the money work straight up with Fultz and Amir Johnson, plus picks, but I think we could do even better. If the Sixers really want Kyrie, make them include Fultz, Saric, and Okafor.

Cavs get young talent at the point, wing, and center positions. No near All Star level talents in this deal, but a versatile group to contribute to scoring and defensive.
