It's wrong. JK is the better player. He needs to be unleashed.Apparently Weber and Dobbins were in a quarter by quarter rotation. JK got 1st and 3rd and Weber got 2nd and 4th.
I'm probably as big a Weber fan as there is, but this is weird. JK did get 13 carries to Weber's 7, and the total carries number was probably lower overall due to OSU having to throw so much, but still. Just weird.
I agree in general. It's wrong. JK is the better player. He needs to be unleashed.
Good point. And yeah, I agree, it's very odd.I agree in general.
I will buy the argument that since Weber is in his 3rd year, he's probably better at blitz pickup, and in a game where you had to pass more than normal, the better blocker will get more snaps. JK is better, but I can see the need for some balance.
I just never heard of quarter by quarter splits. What if you only get 1 drive in a quarter?
The parallels are crazyYear starting to feel like 2014... with this game serving as the MSU Barrett breakout game from that year.
Yep. I hope the players hear it too.Just be prepared to hear 'trap game' all week with Iowa.
Has Dwayne Haskins tweeted he ain't here to play school? If JT gets hurt against Michigan again then there's some voodoo shit going on
Good point. And yeah, I agree, it's very odd.
I'd just like to see more carries for Dobbins. 20+. And much less of those awful sideways passes.
Yep. Classic drive of the RB getting us all the way into the redzone, then we get cute and piss points away. Happens far too often. To add to this - if Urban is going to keep those awful sideways passes in the game plan, they should never be thrown to Weber.
The only gripe i have about this week was the play calling in the first quarter. Dobbins on two separate drives, has two excellent runs that both put us in perfect position to score. Urb follows up each run with screens that went for negative yards on first down. Keep feeding JK. We left a lot of points on the board in the first half. The only thing that kept Dobbins contained was our play calling. It sure as hell wasn't PSU in the first half.
Paul Keels has a great voice, but damn he needs to work on getting a little bit more pumped up for big plays. That call on the pass to Baugh was awful given the magnitude of the play. It wasn't as atrocious as Herb Score used to be calling Indians games, but it wasn't good.
Rosenhaus needs to take lessons from Keels and Keels needs to take lessons from Hammy.Paul Keels has a great voice, but damn he needs to work on getting a little bit more pumped up for big plays.
