I've been to Houston before.

It's a nice city, lovely people.

But uh...dream on. Why would LeBron want to play there? I get Los Angeles. I get here. I get New York.

But Houston? fucking really? He's gonna move his kids out to Texas to play for that team?

Los Angeles and New York make zero sense when LeBron's main priority at this stage is winning rings.

Houston is not as outlandish as those two because he'd be playing with CP3 and Harden. That said, they'd have to gut their team while Paul and/or LeBron take significant pay cuts to make it work. That'd be a bad look for the NBPA and LeBron has already said that he isn't taking reduced money again after Miami.

I really think LeBron stays here. That said, while I've contended that he wants the pride/news bomb of signing the largest contract extension in league history, I have my doubts that he'd cede total control to Gilbert when he clearly relishes holding his feet to the fire.

100% lebron stays

Wont leave eastern conference now
The criticisim he would take if he fled to houston to team up with the beard and cp3 wouls be astronomical.
At least at cavs he would be bringing stars to play with him and not the other way round..sounds crazy but its how the nba universe operates.

Steph didnt cop much when he recrutied durant after lebron beat him but durants reputation got dismantled when he went to gsw.

Lebron stays at the cavs, its just a matter of what the roster will look like

I mean if he leaves? Fine, that's his m.o. and he doesn't owe us shit after what he did in 2016.

But..to me I don't get that vibe off of him. Dude's watching the Browns for example right now, and wearing Tribe stuff to Indians games. He doesn't seem resentful of being from here (quite the opposite) and doesn't seem like he wants to skip town again to "start' over.

what good does going to the Rockets do btw? I can buy going to the "other" texas team in the Spurs, but it just seems like a bizarre choice in a lot ways.

More chance of us landing anthony davis with the brooklyn pick than james leaving again

I can’t picture him on the Rockets. Harden wont take a back seat to Lebron, and Lebron won’t go anywhere he wouldn’t be perceived as “the guy” by his teammates and the city he plays in.

Neither ones ego will accept the role of 2nd banana.

Philly is too young and not proven. Lakers and Knicks have no shot of competing for a title. The only place I could see him leaving for is the Spurs....

So if it's Houston this week, it's gotta be another Eastern Conference team next week, right? Ooooh, I know, let's do Boston! That'll be a stupidly fun episode.

Lebron wants to help his community. Moving his family out to a hot, humid wasteland which has disastrous floods every other year will give him unprecedented new opportunities for community service. I can see Lebron now, tooling around in a customized boat, rescuing his neighbors from the rising flood waters.

The only team i can fathom him going to is philly, and that is a stretch. Its probably the best fit reputation wise. At least of he leaves there he isnt going to a proven contender (yet) and it can be sold as guiding two budding superstars and putting them on the path to greatness...and its in the east so he cam afford to coast and pick and choose his games to put maximum effort in

To be honest, the only team I'd even think about if he were to leave would be the Spurs. He'd get to play with the GOAT coach and him and Kawhi together would just wreck people. Plus they just know how to develop guys and win with their stars are hurt. That being said, the city itself is kind of blah, so I really don't him going there. He'll stay IMO.
