Yup that's the downfall. If LeBron's teammates aren't good enough to buy them time and get to a Game 6 he's liable to get blown out in 5. We never got to see the downfall of MJ not having that extra gear LeBron does to close a series because the teams he faced weren't good enough to go toe to toe with the Bulls for the entirety of a 7 game series.

If he played the Warriors I don't doubt it's a back and forth series where the Warriors close it out in 6 or 7 depending on which game is the home game. While vs LeBron the fact that KD managed to snipe that Game 4 win saved the series which they closed out in 5. If it went to GS tied and Cavs lose game 5 they'd win Game 6 at Cleveland and I don't doubt LeBron for a second when it comes to stealing a Game 7 on the road. Never forget that one uncalled foul on LeBron's dunk by KD. GS never would've come back in Game 5 if the refs actually did the right thing and called that. That's how I know man. LeBron really did everything necessary. But the refs screwed him big time. That call changed the series in retrospect.

Most of us do..and we knew it would hard to replace his talent, but now they have to take Boston down and advance.
 
I'm honestly at peace with whatever happens. After watching the Warriors bitch slap the Rockets last night, I'm finally willing to admit this Warriors team is as close to unbeatable as any team could be.

If LBJ loses in the finals again, only the most strident haters will hold it against him.

I'm actually enjoying the playoffs now that I no longer care. I'd love to see a longshot underdog win, but I already got to witness that with the 3-1 come back in 2016.

I think LBJ will carry the Cavs to the finals, and maybe take 1 game off the Warriors, but otherwise I'm looking forward to the offseason.

I'll root for the Cavs until the end, and I'll continue to hold on to hope that LBJ can pull off a miracle...but if he doesn't, that won't bother me much.

I am also at peace with the season. Sure we can beat this Boston team and advance to the slaughterhouse. So it won't matter one way or another. We would be facing the same team that beat us 4-1 last year with Kyrie. Now they have the same exact team and bitch slapping Huston, and we have no Kyrie and struggling against Boston.

Who cares if we make it to the Finals. It won't matter cause it's as close to a guaranteed loss as they come. All we are gaining in the process is just a few more Cavs games to watch.
 
I just want to get there because anything can happen in terms of freak injuries. If KD or Curry go down we've suddenly got a shot. They are the luckiest franchise of all time in terms of injury help though so I wouldn't count on it.
 
I want to get there because fuck Boston. This kind of shit I'm reading is not what I expect when I enter this thread.. what kind of Cavs fan is ok with losing to that franchise??

Yes. Definitely. I will not be happy losing to Boston. Fuck Boston.

I'm only talking about the big picture, and the fact that I won't be disappointed with whatever happens in the finals.
 
If we make it to the finals I feel like this year Has had enough striking parallels to 2016 that we might luck into an injury luck championship again
